Chapter 28

1029 Words

The hospital waiting room is very bland. A lot of stark white walls and floors with these grey-blue chairs lined up along the walls and tables with stacks of out-of-date magazines on them. I glance at one of the magazines and it says July 2017. Why would I want to read about celebrity gossip that happened five years ago?! I find myself getting annoyed at random things and actions to stop me from thinking about what was going on with Grey. Jonah gets up and tells Beth that he is going to the toilet and will be right back. Beth sits beside me and takes hold of my hand. She doesn't say anything, just sits beside me. It was exactly what I needed. We heard the click of heels on the hospital floor and look up to see who it was. Juliet. She was the last person I wanted to see right now.
