Chapter 25

1248 Words

Grey must have been reading my mind as he stopped by the forest on our way home. He drove the car down a dirt road and parked between some old gum trees. I find myself wondering how long these trees have been here - they are huge. Imagine what they have seen in their lifetime and what they have yet to see. Grey distracts me from my wayward thoughs. "You seemed distracted and in need of some time out here." He explains as he unbuckles his seat belt and opens the door. "This is exactly what I need!" I sigh as I follow him around the car and towards the scrub. "Does Shay want a run? Phoenix is itching to run with her." Grey states as he leads the way. "Phoenix is your wolf's name?" I question. Grey just nods his head as he walks. "Shay has been dying to," I add. "Let's do it then!"
