Chapter Maya : Chosen and Princess.

1747 Words
Maya waltzed through the palace, searching for her elder sister, Aliza.  "Attack her!" The voice over the intercom spoke up, where Maya stared at the entire group that ran to her direction. Swirling the Shashka with her arms, twirling them around. Where the students ran at her, clad in full armor. "This may hurt. Just a little bit." Maya said as she charged head first. A single strike was enough to send the students before her flying to the walls.  "I've got you now!" The student spoke as he swung his mace to maya. When it made contact with her uniform, the entire mace shattered.  Crumbling to dust. "Tha...That was a mace made out of Mythril! How did you!?"  "It was not tempered properly." Maya said as she flicked the burly student's head. Launching him out of the palace, leaving a large hole of his shape in it.  Maya looked in front of her, seeing the Chosen that was under Elena Strongbow.  "The Three Furies. Mirielle, Cassandra and Fei Lee." The three armored ladies responded by drawing their sabers.  "You speak our name so casually, Princess. It is instructor to you!" The red fury, Mirielle charged at Maya, where Maya blocked it with her fingertips.  "Mirielle, the Red Fury. I've always told you. To assess your opponents carefully." Maya said, then turning to see more students coming from the back. "Sorry, but I need to have a talk with the Chosen. I can't have amateurs bothering our little  conversation." Maya said as she snapped her fingers to their direction, where ceiling caved in.  Maya then snapped her fingers to the ceiling behind the Three Furies. "That's... That strength... It can't be, it's like Master Elena's!" Cassandra, the blue Fury spoke up.  "Perhaps it would be easier if I do this." The golden aura covered Maya, revealing her to be Elena Strongbow with her officer robes. "Master?"  "Let me see how much you three have grown." Maya said as the three Furies charged at Maya, watching how she blocked them with ease. Each blow they strike was being countered back so easily.  "You're a lot stronger than before, master!" Mirielle said. "Well my layering was only 3 when I was Elena but as Maya... It seems she has access to 10 layers." Maya said as the three Furies charged at her. Maya diverted their blade swings away, they followed her swordmanship and it was understandable.  "You're still reckless Mirielle! I do not have eyes at the back of my head!" Maya lectured them, she rolled to the side. Dodging an attack by Fei Lee. A downward s***h that cracked the floors of the palace, causing them to fly upwards. "Not having eyes at the back of my head, doesn't mean that I am careless." Maya smacked the back of Fei Lee's head. Planting her face to the ground as Maya put her boot over Fei Lee's head. "Fei dear. I always said be aware of the environment. The cracked floors of the palace could have damaged other people too, and it also caused your sword to be stuck there. Always have a backup plan, Fei." Maya said as she kicked Fei Lee back to Cassandra's side. "You're letting nostalgia cloud your judgement. You are the War Maiden's Chosen. Fight like you mean it!" In an instant the three of them faded away. Reappearing from the sides and one from above. A three pronged attack, it was a good starting strategy but Maya was able to block it with one hand. "If it was 3 layers, I would have been in trouble. But I have 10 layers, so that gives me the other hand to strike back!" Maya swung her blade at them, watching how the Furies hold their ground against that force. The floor started to crack, Maya had a smile on her face. "Please let us keep going." Maya said as she fought against her Chosen. The three of them who were her first proteges. Maya smiled to herself, watching their skills be polished. Their strikes perfected, but they were lacking something. A tenacity that is needed by the War Maiden's Chosen. Maya thought it may be due to the pressence of the students. They may be afraid if the chosen were to unleash their true nature. The one where Fury guides them, where everything that is seen to be a target shall be struck down until it is motionless, or reduced to nothing but a bloody pile of mush. Their hesitation was concern for the students who may be panicked at the sight of the Fury that they bear.  "Thank you for entertaining me for a bit. You three have been doing better."  "Thank you, master." The trio spoke as they knelt before Maya, who reverted back to her normal appearance instead of Elena Strongbow. "May we return by your side? THe other Chosen are still here, including those who are near your age."  "IF that is what you wish, but if they are Chosen then I must test them." Maya said as she walked away from them. Breaking through the barriers, where she looked at Aliza Strongbow that was seated by the throne of the Empress. Guns pointed at Maya, there were swordsmen that were in formation with shields in hand. Aliza seemed to have won at a glance but to Maya, the one who housed the soul of Elena Strongbow. There was more to it. Maya could tear through this formation within seconds.  "Maya... Maya, it would be better if you just stayed still and did not cause such a ru-" Maya snapped her fingers where the entire throne room caved down onto them. Burying all of them alive, Maya cut down any piece of rubble that fell down. Then walking over to where Aliza was, buried beneath the rubble. Maya kicked the large piece away, seeing Aliza underneath. "I guess if I beat you in this battle, the Empress will allow me to participate in the Empress's Succession battle." Maya slashed Aliza's arm off, where her screams reached everyone in the simulation. "Be grateful that this is just a simulation... It could be worse." Then there was another scream from the distance. Following it up with a body being thrown past Maya. It was Jorge, with Azure White impaled to his shoulder. Jorge, following it up with Sieg wielding Jorge's long sword then piercing it into Jorge's chest. "What a bore." Sieg said as he twisted it, hearing Jorge scream loudly in pain. "Surely they could do better. Perhaps our bounty would increase?" Maya said as she slashed Aliza's throat with no hesitation.  "Seems like there's more of them." Sieg said as he turned to the other students that remained. Taking out the blade from Jorge's shoulder. Walking beside his partner, Maya smiled as she readied her blades. "Well, maybe it won't be as boring with them." Maya said. "Then let's go see." Sieg and Maya charged into their enemies.Sieg darting around the environment, even springing off theb odies of the students. Slashing them with single strikes, he was covering for Maya that took the lead. Maya slashed people in half, then a single swing that brought upon a shockwave that disabled formations of students. She picked the students by the legs, then proceeding to smack the remaining students with their own allies. Maya was smiling with glee while Sieg grinned. Whenever an attack would reach her, Sieg would appear to stop it with his blade. Letting Maya focus on taking the entire offensive line. Maya then threw the students aside, then drawing her blades. Raising the blades above her head, then a downward swing that birthed a tornado that sucked all of their enemies in. "Why can't... Why can't we break free from this tornado?!"  "Unless you're stronger than me. You can't break it. Oh, and it will keep sucking you all in until the simulation is over." Maya said as she sheathed the blades, then turning to Sieg with a single stroke of his blade to the tornado.  The tornado shattered but the students were turned into minced meat. They felt every s***h by Sieg in that single attack. "Oh that's just too much, isn't it?" Maya asked. "Putting people off their high horse is one of my favorite hobbies. Besides, there's also a pair we haven't fought yet." Sieg said as he turned to the two figures walking to their direction. Principal Alarei and Vice Principal Cypher. Alarei with her claymore and Cypher with his flail and shield.  "You seem to have gotten stronger." Principal Alarei said. "Oh, The Duchess of Marlington and Colonel Cypher. Then again why am I surprised? You two are half dragons." Sieg said which caused the Principal and her Vice to raise their eyebrows. "Only people that know we're dragons are... Crow and Elena." Sieg and Maya were covered by their aura, revealing themselves as Crow Blackwind and Elena Strongbow. "Ah, so reincarnated... Was it the lover's pact?" Cypher asked where Sieg and Maya nodded. "Alright. Then I suppose this fight will be fruitless. Elena, I'm sure you came here because of Darkstar right?" Alarei asked. "Guess the blades been acting up?" Maya spoke with ease, sheathing her blades. "Oh yeah. It nearly destroyed the chains that bind it. We can end the simulation and you both can go see it." Cypher said as they pressed the button. Seeing the entire simulation room change to a white room. The students were gasping, their limbs were shaking and they looked at the ceiling. Touching their bodies to see if they were still alive. Jester, Crossbones and Asferion made their way to Sieg and the Three Furies to Maya. "So you lot have confirmed it?" Alarei said. "Yes, we have. They are the real deal." Cypher and Alarei glanced at each other. "Then I suppose you will return to them. Serving as their allies?" The six of them nodded. "As their attendants." Mirielle said.  "This will cause some havoc among the many nobles. They have been trying to get you six to serve them, but no one is strong enough. Then again, it might be better like this. I'll approve it. If the board wants to go nuts about this, I'll just let them have it." Alarei said.  "Thank you, Duchess." The six of them said as they knelt before her. "Well, let's go get the blade." Cypher said as he led the group to the armory.
