1110 Words
10 years later Bill POV Bill Connor, 30 years old, Tall, broad chested and handsome is a wizard awakened twenty- two years ago while playing in the garden with his three brothers.  Even though he was just eight years old when it happened he will never forget the day it forever changed his life.  "How could he ever forget something so significant like that?"   He remembered how he used to hide himself in his hoodie, he could never stepped outside the house without his hoodie. It became part of his everyday clothes and attending school and social gathering was difficult because he couldn't control his powers and any form of provocation or harassment on vulnerable people triggers his powers leading to catastrophic consequences noticeable by the people in his surrounding.  So he was home- schooled at his grandma's house, away from his family, friends and people that knew him. It was saddening leaving home but he wouldn't risk exposure. Thinking back to when he was growing up, he remembered a day some boys rounded up on a boy in the cafeteria while he was sitting with his brothers as usual enjoying his lunch when suddenly a boy pushed down by five older boys. The boy fell down hitting his head hard on the ground, instinctively Bill pushed his chair out to stand up and help the boy but his brothers held his hand and pushed him back on his seat.  "Forget it Bill. They are just teasing him they will leave him when they've had their fun." Ricky who was his older brother told him with a chuckle.  "How can you guys be comfortable with this?" Bill retorted, already getting angry and upset. His brothers just continue their meal as if nothing was wrong.  Bill looked around, appalled at the sight displaced in the room. I already gathered some student to cheer the bully boys, and no one was bold enough to stand up for the poor boy on the floor.  Bill looked back at his brothers in disgust and snorted. "Are we really brothers? I can't imagine someone assaulting or bullying Derrick like that." He told them, looking at them shamefully. The sudden cry of the boy made him devastated, he made to stand up again but Ricky and Ken pushed him back on his seat again, warning him, he would expose his powers to the entire school if he acted rash. Bill sat back in his chair and looked at the boy helplessly until he thought of small ways to help the boy.  He flicked his two fingers to push the two older boys that were pinning the poor boy down away from him forcefully, making them hit their heads on the wall. The two boys lay on the floor groaning in pain. The other three boys glared the helpless boy, about to attack him but Bill willed himself beside the poor boy so he could avoid being restrained by his brothers.  Immediately, he was on the floor with the boy, a white glowing light illuminated round the two of them in a protective shield. Everyone in the room, except his brothers and a girl, backed away to the far corner of the room, looking scared as if they just saw an alien.  Bill helped the boy up, smiled sweetly and gently touched his head to heal his wound and aching body. The boy looked into his eyes for a brief seconds before speaking.  "Thank you Carissime." I will forever be indebted to you.  It surprised Bill that he wasn't scared or afraid of him. He acted as if he knew he's a wizard.  "How sweet, I just found a friend." Bill thought happily.  "Am Bill, nice meeting you." He told the boy, giving him a warm and friendly smile. The boy took his hand in a friendly handshake and whispered his name as if he doesn't want anyone to hear it.  "Am Adongolmaz. But call me Aaron."  Suddenly Bill knew why the boy wasn't afraid of him as realization struck him. The boy is a wicca. Wide- eye and mouth opened for some seconds, Bill peered into his eyes warily before talking.  "And why do you allow them to bully you like this when you can stop it Aaron?" Bill sounded angry with him. Aaron stood straight before talking.  "Magic killed my parents and my grandparent warned me to never to use my powers again." Aaron told him, suddenly looking sad.  The two of them looked at each other quietly before turning their head to look at the crowd that were now holding chairs and approaching them angrily.  Simultaneously, Bill and Aaron shouted "rigescunt indutae."  The entire room was quiet, everyone and everything freezes except Bill's brothers and a girl at the corner of the room. His brothers and the girl stood up and walked to them.  "I told you to stay away from this Bill." Ricky told him as soon as he reached where Bill and Aaron stood.  "How do we handle this exposure now?" Ricky added as he paced angrily in front of them.  The unfamiliar girl suddenly spoke up. "Am Lisa, Aaron's older sister." She informed them, smiling shyly at Ricky before looking at Bill.  "Thank you so much for being strong for us. We were never to use our magic no matter what. Magic killed our parents." Lisa informed them unhappily. Ricky was instantly carried away with her beauty. He smiled at her before talking again. Am so sorry for your lost Lisa.  "So how do we unfreeze them?" Ken suddenly asked, staring at the room nervously before looking at Bill and Aaron.  "We have to first cast a spell of forgetfulness before we unfreeze them." Aaron told them as he looked at his sister.  "Are you ready sis?" Aaron asked his sister. The two of them shouted "obliviate" before flicking their fingers together and unfreeze the room.  Everyone stared at each other before looking at the students that were just unfreeze, they enjoyed the look on their faces and bursts into laughter before moving to their seat to finish up their lunch. The student holding chairs wondered why they were holding the chairs and quickly dropped the chairs as if it was a dangerous object while others just went on with their activities, chattering and moving to their seat to finish their meal.  No one except the Connor family and the Dickson family knew what happened at the cafeteria that day. A day that the Connor brothers made new friends with the Dickson. Bill could never forget about that day. Smiling to himself he chuckled as he remembered the looks on the faces of those student in the school cafeteria. I would have recorded their faces when Aaron and Lisa unfreeze them. He thought smiling broadly as he stare out of the window in his study.
