Kathleen POV
It was her wedding night, but she didn't feel like a newly married woman. Her wedding with Derrick was just a camouflage, an arranged marriage to get her dad off her back.
"What a day?"
After their wedding reception, Kathleen and Derrick spent time in their hotel suite just chattering and laughing at each other's jokes. They left the hotel for their house late in the evening around 10:00pm; it was meaningless spending the night together in a hotel when they will not sleep together.
Showering and wearing her bathing robe, Kathleen picked her cell phone, adjusting her bathing robe as she checked her phone for any message. She walked towards her bedroom door.
"He didn't even message to wish us a happy wedding."
