I ran with the rest of the pack, but all of us halted after sensing Gideon and Luigi running in our direction.
They stopped from a distance after Alpha Earl fronted and told them to stay where they were. Luigi has to pull Gideon to a complete halt because he can’t hear Earl’s voice through the mind link.
Our kind is very territorial, and those who barge uninvited are met with utmost hostility. I know that wasn’t the case for Luigi and Gideon, but Earl’s instincts kicked in because of the killing intent looming around Gideon.
It’s really terrifying.
I haven’t felt such an intense feeling in a long time… It was pretty similar to Dominic’s, but this was a tad more unhinged. It’s odd how similar it was, but maybe it’s because of Dominic’s curse. I’m not really sure.
