I stopped checking the inventory when the store’s lights suddenly flickered. The store door opened, revealing Callista with an obviously pissed-off expression.
My shoulders jumped when the candles behind the counter suddenly lit. The candle fire shook as if the air was trying to extinguish it, and it was fighting for its life to stay ablaze. I think she’s also the reason for the electricity flickering out.
“Ah, Callista what is happening?” I wanted to ask if she was okay, but I didn’t want to ask the obvious, or I might piss her off even more. Now I know why Natasia was asking if she’s scary…
