The awkwardness I felt was replaced with the urge to laugh. The humans eventually left after not seeing anything to their liking, and I could already feel my cheeks reddening from my attempt not to laugh.
“Why are you laughing... or trying not to?” Dominic asked in confusion. I don’t think he was angry, but confused at my reaction nonetheless.
I wiped the beads of tears forming on the side of my eyes. “Sorry. That scenario has happened way too many times that I could count. I didn’t expect that you’d fall victim to it, too. This shop has officially become a one-stop shop for humans fangirling over supernatural creatures, and they didn’t even know it. It’s fascinating.”
