A wave of pain woke me up after barely getting any sleep for the past weeks. It’s been over a month since Kara left, and the only thing that reminds me of her presence are the things she left in the house, mostly things that were provided for her when she arrived here.
I scoffed despite the pain that I was feeling. Kara was determined to show that she didn’t need anything from me… and maybe I deserved it.
Her scent had almost faded in the room, and I only realized how much comfort it brought me after it had already begun to fade away.
