I looked around. I haven’t seen Lucy since yesterday, even though she’s supposed to be my guide. This time, Yanny and Mal have been going along with my schedules. I finally got to know their names, but they looked wary of me even though I tried to do my best to talk to them. It’s been a week, and they still act the same.
“Uhm, is it possible to know where Lucy is? Is it her day off today, maybe?” I didn’t want to be nosy, but I just had a bad feeling. She was called yesterday, and I haven’t seen her since. I’m not sure what it was about either, but I’m getting worried.
They both flinched and looked at each other momentarily before spouting excuses.
“Ms. Lucy is currently out. She had to attend to something important... I think?” Yanny tried to speak but trailed off.
