“Did I make the right call meddling like that?” I mumbled to myself while watching Dila embrace and somehow kick the wolf plushie Gideon gave as a baby shower gift at the same time. It’s been her favourite lately, and she wouldn’t sleep in the crib without it. Now she’s on the bed, currently happy with no care in the world. I was almost envious but realized it was exactly what I wanted; a life where she didn’t have to constantly worry about herself.
I smiled to myself. Dila’s growing so fast, but I’m not complaining. I’m just happy she’s perfectly healthy.
