Spiraling

I left him, standing on those steps and didn’t look back. This isn’t supposed to happen, he isn’t supposed to be this attached, and I’m not supposed to like it so much. Sweat beads on my forehead as I speed walk through rush hour, stopping to get some takeout. I don’t remember the last time I ate, gagging through some noodles in the privacy of my apartment. Eventually giving up I prop myself in the bay window chain smoking. I watch as the sun sets over the buildings across the street, and the stars fill the smoggy air. Perfect night for a walk, I slip on a jacket and find my way to the alley that leads to train tracks. Suddenly a whiff of familiar scent smacks me in the face, sandalwood and Christian Dior cologne strong enough to burn my nostrils. Looking behind me I see nothing but an empty dark alley. I pick up the pace eventually meeting the tracks, I walk down until I’m out of sight from city lights, listening to the crickets cheering and watching the fireflies swirling. Peace, I think to myself, lying down on the cold railroad. Serenity in the silence, I could just lay here, not move when the train comes. Let it take me to a place of eternal silence, peace, without this nagging entity feeding on me. I hear the train blow about a mile away, I feel the vibration of the tracks rumbling through my chest. My heart pounds my ears, trembling hands grip the metal as the blowing gets closer and closer. The humming in my chest grows deeper, I squeeze my eyes closed waiting for my inevitable demise. Closer, closer, closer. I feel a strong hand grab my jacket ripping me out of my soon to be coffin and I land hard on gravely weeds. “What the f**k Molly?! I was screaming your name! How could you do something like that?” James screams. “Ha, told you, you’re obsessed with me.” I choke out a loud chuckle. “Molly! This isn’t funny! Why? Why would you do this to me?” I can hear his voice cracking as he grips the leather on my boots. “I didn’t do anything to you!” I bellowed, kicking his hand away. “f**k off James, leave me alone, I don’t want you.” “Baby please, please don’t say that, I’ll do whatever you want, I’ll be good, I’ll listen.” He drops to his knees, crying, wrapping his long arms around my legs. “Please.” Poor baby doesn’t even know what he’s asking for. I will ruin him, intentionally or not, his soul will be mine. “Get up James. Let’s go.” I demand, and he follows like my own lost puppy. When we reach my apartment, I feel him staring a hole through the back of my head. “If you have something to say James now is the time.” “I just wanted to ask where you got those scars? I saw them in the bathroom.” “Does it matter?” I ask. “If it matters to you it does. Is that why you were in a catatonic state? Trauma? Is that why you always shut the lights off?” He asks. “You’re quite inquisitive aren’t you?” “Sorry, I’m just trying to understand..” He hangs his head looking at his shoes. “My mother gave me those scars, and that’s all I care to share.” I say kicking my boots off. Our eyes meet from across the room, I find sorrow mixed with lust behind those gorgeous green eyes. I can’t help but wonder what he sees in mine. I break contact and pour us a few shots to knock the edge off. “You were bad today James, you didn’t follow my directions very well.” I say tipping back another shot. I watch his breath quicken, eyes racing back and forth between mine. “I’m sorry.” He chokes out. “You’ll have to do better than that James.” I plop down on the edge of the bed as he rises from the couch. “Ah ah ah, crawl.” I demand shaking my index finger back and forth. Excitement boils my blood as he drops down on all fours. This huge, grown man crawling to me like he can’t breathe without me. Worshiping me, he sits at my feet awaiting his orders. Except I wanna change the rules this time, I snatch his throat in my hand and squeeze and he lets out a little whimper. Dragging him to the bed and shoving him down on his back. “Loose the shirt.” I demand and he does as told. His breath quicken as I eat up the space between us. Straddling him I push my lips to his neck, nibbling on his throat. Deep groans leave his lips as I trail kisses in all the right places. He shutters underneath me when I drag my nails down his abs and unbutton his jeans. I rock my hips back and forth, feeling him stiffen against his jeans, so I remove them, I’ve been curious of what he’s packing. It’s safe to say I’m impressed, I run my hands up and down his member and watch as he squeezes his eyes shut and sucks what little air he can through his teeth. I slide him against myself arching my back, just enough to drive him over the edge. His lips crush into mine, like I’m a drug he can’t do without. Stealing all my air until my lungs burn so bad that I feel like they may explode from my chest. He sits up for better access and wraps his arms around me, trapping me against his hard chest, I raise slightly and shove him in all the way to the hilt, rolling my hips and pulling him closer to my chest. Holy f**k, I should have started with this to begin with. “Jesus,” he says “I’m not Jesus, I’m a f*****g God.” I say, picking up my pace, going faster and faster until his eyes roll back in his head. “Molly.” I’m a f*****g goner, him simply whispering my name sends me over into oblivion, black dots cloud my vision, trembling uncontrollably but yet I don’t stop, because I’m about to break him. Once and for all, I’ll snatch his soul, mine to keep. “Come for me James.” I demand, and he’s spent, gripping on to me so tightly I thought he might break my rib cage. I tug the back of his hair so I can see the needy greed that comes after, but it doesn’t. He just looks at me like I’m some majestic creature. “Molly, you’re so f*****g beautiful.” He says, searching my eyes. Got him. I won’t let go until there is nothing left of this man but a pile of sparkling dust.
