"Big boss, how was the honeymoon?" Marcus asked as he walked into my office. "Oh, wait, you are glowing. Is this the effect of being married?"
"Seems like being away for a few days has made you forget the way you should act?" I ask, and he rolls his eyes. I know he has never acted right with me before. He always seemed to act as if I were his friend, even though I have said countless times that I am not.
"As your best friend, I don't think it's wrong for me to want to know how your life went." I look up at him, ready to tell him that I am not his best friend, but he beats me to it. "And before you can deny it, a man can't live without having a best friend. If you can prove that you have another friend, then I would let you be."
