Tom sat at the front of the house staring at the red glow on the horizon that was slowly giving way to the dark night sky. It was the end of another hard working day that lasted from dawn until almost dusk and he could feel the ache in his muscles as he tried to relax. He lifted the cup in his hand to his lips, but grimaced at the taste of cold coffee and quickly pulled it away.
