The True Mate

Chapter 1

*Emery’s POV*

    It was two weeks before my eighteenth birthday. My Mother was excited that the time for me to meet my mate is finally drawing near. However, my father was anxious about the thought of my mate not belonging to our pack, The Blue Moon, and to some other pack. Samuel and Caleb, my bonehead twin brothers, were twenty and still hadn’t found their mates. I was secretly hoping I wouldn’t find my mate and be lucky like my brothers. If only I knew what was in store for me.

*Grey’s POV*

    I turned eighteen a year ago and I was lucky to have met my mate a few months ago, Madelynn, and she was beautiful. Madelynn’s hair was black as the dark night with natural curls that flowed down her back, and her eyes were a golden brown. My father was the Alpha to our pack, The Violet Moon, and I was next in line. In two weeks, I was to take his place at the meeting with the Alpha of Blue Moon to renew our treaty. Even though I loved Madelynn, we had not marked each other yet and something deep down felt uneasy when we were together.
