The True Mate

Chapter 7

*Grey's POV*

Alex pulls up to the packhouse and we both step out of the car to be greeted by Alpha Richard and Luna Oakley. Carter is pacing even more in my head, and I am struggling to keep up with the greetings as Alpha Richard asks about my father and the pack. As I am responding, I get hit with the smell of strawberries and cream and it feels like I have been hit by a truck when I glance over Alpha Richard’s shoulder and see this beautiful girl walking alongside another. Carter stops pacing for a few seconds and as we both are about to say “Mate”, we hear her soft lips whisper Mate and then fall to the ground. I rush over to catch her just before she hits the floor.

As soon as our skin meets, sparks are all I feel and I look over to Alpha Richard who is just staring at us, and my beta, Alex, standing with the girl my mate was with while having a huge smile on his face. The girl in my arms started to come to, and I sat her up ready to talk to her and find out what was going on. I already met my mate, so how is she my mate as well? I was now truly confused.

Carter began to speak, “I have felt weird since meeting Madelynn, and meeting this beauty, I can say, has broken whatever we had with Madelynn. I believe we were under some sort of spell because I never felt this way before.”

I knew we needed to talk, and as I was standing up, Alpha Richard said for us to all move to his office in order for us to have some privacy.

*Emery's POV*

I wake up feeling strong arms around me and sparks tingling up my arms. What was going on? I laid eyes on my mate and passed out. Oh, that’s just great, I definitely will get rejected as I cannot meet someone without fainting. I am looking over at this guy who I think caught me before I hit the ground completely because I am not hurting anywhere. My father says for us to go into his office so we can have some privacy. That’s when I noticed that Alice was smiling with the biggest grin on her face, holding hands with the guy who was walking with my mate.

Once I am up completely, I lead the way to my father’s office, and everyone takes a seat. I noticed that my father had not come in but just shut the door with a look on his face as if to say I’ll be here if you need me. I am currently sitting in a chair across from my dad’s desk and decided I needed to make introductions to get this show on the way.

I started off first. “I am Emery, daughter of Alpha Richard, and this is my best friend, Alice, her father is my dad’s best friend and Beta.”

My mate responds, “My name is Grey, I am the future Alpha of the Violet Moon Pack and this is my best friend and future Beta, Alex.”
