Asher's POV
I didn't allow myself to think until I stepped into my suite in the pack house. Kade was sitting in my favorite chair in the suite but he was fast asleep. He had been waiting for me to get back so that I could give him the news of how my visit you Natalie went.
I thought about it. It mostly went well, asides the fact that I had almost been caught by Weston's guards again. I was lucky to find Natalie the way I did. She was conveniently close to the pack borders when I sneaked in and I couldn't be more thankful.
She had put up a great fight because she seemed very scared of me, and I really understood where she was coming from. The things I said to her when I rejected her were enough to make a person fear and hate me, especially someone with a fragile heart like her.
