Asher's POV
I anxiously waited in front of the room. I started with pacing in front of the door. Then I started standing around the door, waiting for the damned doctor to come out. He had not said anything concerning Kade's wellbeing since I had been forced out by the guards.
At this moment, I was sitting in front of the door with my face buried in my hands.
The guards stood around, watching me with pity in their eyes. I knew I looked a complete mess and I could understand why they were looking at me like that. They knew Kade was my best friend, one of the best friends I had ever had since my childhood.
I would lose my damn mind if anything happened to him. I would just fall to a million pieces of he so much as stopped breathing for even just a second.
