Dinner was more than Evelynn could have imagined. After tear-filled hugs from Holly and both Holly and Piper squealing about Greyson and Evelynn’s couples’ outfit, the evening settled into a peaceful rhythm.
Greyson introduced her properly to Beta Female Piper and her brother, Peter. Evelynn recognized Peter from the day she’d met Aaron at Hunter Enterprises. Up close, he was tall and lean with messy blond hair. Piper shared the same golden locks, though hers fell around her round face, which was permanently bright with mischief.
“Let’s get this show on the road. This baby wants meatballs!” Piper announced, rubbing her pregnant belly as she moved to her seat. Aaron automatically pulled out chairs for Piper and Holly.
Greyson took Evelynn by the hand and led her to sit next to him.
