Long may you serve.” The prioress held out her hand, and Charlaine took it, rising from where she knelt. “You are one of us now,” said the elderly Holy Woman. “Come, let us find you a room where you may rest.” “What will befall me now?” asked Charlaine. “That depends on you. There are many ways to serve the order. You are already well versed in the teachings of our Blessed Saint.
