CHAPTER 1 At the sound of Honey barking, Callie jumped. She shot an anxious glance over her shoulder before bending to remove the key from its hiding place under the stone dragon by the door. There was a brief silence, broken by a low, hoarse croak and more barking. It’s only Honey chasing birds, she reassured herself as she turned the key and let herself into her father’s studio.
