It took several hours, but they finally made it to the hospital where Cage was in surgery. No one had come out to tell them what was going on. Addie paced, and then would stare out the windows. Doc finally arrived, and he went to check on Cage. Addie said a ton of prayers.
Finally, Doc came back to the waiting room. Addie rushed over to him. She couldn't tell if it was good or bad news. Viper and her mom were right behind her. Addie wrapped her arms around herself.
"Well, it was bad. But they managed to get the bleeding stopped. He's in ICU for the time being. They want to make sure none of the bleeders start back up. They have him in an induced coma to keep him still. As long as no complications arise, he should pull through.
