The Warning

Ahil's fingers tightened around the grip of his g*n as he stepped onto the porch, scanning the empty darkness. The night was eerily quiet, except for the distant rustling of leaves. Whoever had been watching them was gone-but not without leaving a message. A single piece of paper lay on the ground, fluttering slightly in the night breeze. Ahil bent down, picked it up, and flipped it over. "Stop digging. Or the next body found will be yours." Zarnab's breath hitched. Faris leaned in to read, his expression unreadable. Ahil crumpled the paper in his fist, his jaw tightening. "Coward," he muttered. Samir, still standing near the door, smirked. "You must be getting close to something. Otherwise, no one would bother threatening you . Zarnab swallowed, her fingers gripping the sleeves of her coat. "That means... we're on the right path." Faris looked at her carefully. "Or it means we' re next." The weight of his words settled between them, but Ahil was already moving. "Let's go." Zarnab hesitated. "Where?" "To the last people Saisha spoke to before she died-her so-called friends," Ahil said, walking toward his car. "If someone doesn't want us to find the truth, it only means there's more to uncover." Faris gave Zarnab a reassuring glance before following Ahil. Samir chuckled lightly, shaking his head. "This is going to get messy." Zarnab turned to him. "You're not coming?" Samir's smirk faded slightly. "I'll be watching. Just don't get yourselves killed before the real truth comes out." The Confrontation Fifteen minutes later, they arrived at a high-end club on the outskirts of town, where Saisha's friends usually gathered. The neon lights flickered above the entrance, music thumping from inside. Ahil's presence alone was enough to turn heads as he walked in-tall, broad-shouldered, radiating danger. Zarnab followed, her heart pounding. Faris, as always, moved like a shadow beside them. At a VIP booth sat Alizeh, vicky , and faiz-Saisha's closest circle. They were laughing, drinks in their hands, as if the past never haunted them Faiz -Saisha's closest circle. They were laughing, drinks in their hands, as if the past never haunted them. Ahil didn't wait for an invitation. He strode up to their table, placing his hands firmly on it, making the glasses tremble. "Miss us?" he said darkly. The laughter died instantly. Alizeh's face paled, vicky shifted uncomfortably, and Daniyal simply raised an eyebrow. "Ahil," faiz greeted, voice neutral. "Didn't think we'd see you here." Zarnab stepped forward. "We have questions. About Saisha." Alizeh exhaled sharply, rolling her eyes. "Still stuck on that?" Ahil leaned in, his voice dangerously low. "I suggest you start talking before I make you." Zarnab saw it clearly -the flicker of fear in their eyes. They knew something. And they had been hoping no one would ask. Faiz sighed, rubbing his temple. "Look, we all knew Saisha was playing with fire. She had... secrets. More than anyone realized." Vicky glanced around, as if afraid someone was listening. "She wasn't just cheating on Ahil. She was involved with people... dangerous ones." Zarnab's pulse raced. "Who?" Alizeh hesitated. "One of them... was someone with power. A man with money, control. She thought she could manipulate him like she did everyone else." Something very similar to what nayla already informed zarnab Ahil's gaze darkened. "A name, Alizeh." She swallowed. "We only heard whispers, but... some people said his name was-" Before she could finish, a loud crash erupted from behind them. A glass bottle shattered against the wall, and suddenly, a group of men in dark suits stormed in, eyes locked on Ahil, Zarnab, and Faris. Everything shifted in a heartbeat. Ahil grabbed Zarnab's wrist, pulling her behind him. "Get down!" Faris barely had time to react before the first gunshot rang out.
