Blue School

I began waking ahead, a luminous light flares my sight . The light of hope I am estimating, which is fairly mysterious to me. It was the hope I wish to see . The crystal glass of the school's main entrance magically opens for me like I am in a movie. But of course I am just joking, it might have been the sensor. The moment I step inside, the fresh cold air of the AC comes in contact to my skin penetrating goosebumps on me. I was wearing sufficient warm clothes to cover the shivers. My eyes monitors the hallways. People and lots of people. How am I gonna survive this? I know what people's initial thought can be. For example: '' Why would you wanna study in a public school if you can't handle the crowds? '' Well, the answer to this wise question is, I am sick of being weak. I have this thirst for adventure but the only thing that has been halting me down is my fear. But I don't wanna live in fear anymore. This bizarre feeling knowing something bad is gonna happen. I wanna live in the present grasping it will happen but when it does I wanna secure myself. I don't wanna rely on the medicines. I wanna be uncontrollable. I wanna be fearless. I wanna be myself, not somebody trapped inside wriggling and squirming to crawl out. I heave shutting my eyes before I continue this chapter of my life. '' You can do this. '' I mutter to myself. I slowly open my lids to fix my vision walking ahead. The hallways were colorfully decorated. The lockers were lined up and they were all painted yellow beaming like sunflowers. I whirl mesmerized by the view. How did mom and dad agree to afford this school? When I was spinning, I didn't realize when someone stood in front of me. I crashed onto him as we both hit our heads. ''Shit..'' He repeats after me. I upraised my head in pure pain to meet his eyes. We examine each other for a while. He had gemstone green eyeballs. I have never seen eyes so green. They looked greener than the Ever-green forest. He clears his throat as we remove our gaze from each other. I study his attire. He was wearing a jacket with Storm Coast High's logo stitched on it. They appeared like to gym clothes to me. He had broad shoulders and golden walnut flavored hair. I recede as a sign of blush brushed my cheeks. '' Sorry'' I tell being too sheepish to meet his eyes. '' It's okay. '' He replied quickly as I peep surreptitiously one last time to fancy his features. We crossed each other but I paused anon. noting that girl I had met outside recently . She was standing inches way louring at me with her viscous look. Her clothes somehow made her look like a stroke of black scar over the rainbow hallway. She walked towards my direction and surprisingly my stimuli was normal. '' You must Evangeline. '' She said folding her arms. '' I am'' I answer. '' And you are? '' She revealed a smile at me as I stared at it in incredulity. '' I am Dina, Dina Wilmarth. '' She puts her hand forward for me to shook it. And I did. '' Hi. Nice to meet you Dina. '' I say shaking her hand politely. I gotta say people aren't as mean as I thought they would be. '' But, how did you know my name?'' I ask baffled. '' Well, I am supposed to welcome you. '' She replied sounding bored. '' So, you might as well follow me. '' She trod around walking the other way as I tackled through the crowds to compete with her pace. I only ever met a person I'd call truly scathing and that would be her. Dina, evil Dina I repeat had made me circle the same place nonstop. She assumed I would be too stupid to cognize. But believe me, I was too stupid to not protest. '' Are we there already? '' I say breathing recklessly. I was too jaded to speak accurately. She wasn't even tired a bit. I ponder how much she works out everyday. '' We are here. '' Ah.. those were the words my ears were yearning to hear. '' You are late though! '' She expresses her artificial sadness through the sentence. But I was too clever to smell her lie. She leaves in a breath as I stood in front of the Principal's room. '' Esme Coleman'' The name plate quoted. I sigh reliving the present. I steadily unbolt the door preparing my mind for a good scold.'' May I come in ma'am? '' I request. I see Principal Coleman deeply concentrating on some files. Noticing me she closes the folder. '' Oh.. Evangeline! Yes, come in.'' ''How did you know my name?'' Either the Principal has too much remembering capability or I just got popular. I prefer the first one to be real. '' Well... You have your mother's resemblance. It's easy to guess. '' '' You know my mom? '' I was startled because mom never talked about her friends and moreover she's a stay-at-home mom. So, I didn't expect her to be friends with the Principal here. '' Yes. She's a good childhood friend of mine. '' '' Why don't you seat down dear?'' I listen to her placing my bag down. '' So, you have been home schooled your whole life. '' She says reading my files. I nod my head directly . '' I am not gonna stress you up with the rules. I assume you already know. '' She speaks looking through the space of her glasses falling of her nose. '' Yes... Mom gave me some tips. '' I reply awkwardly. '' She closes my files and then hands me a paper. '' This is your class routine. The subjects you applied from online. '' I look at it thoroughly checking everything. After I am done I rise from my seat grabbing my bag. '' Thank you, Principal Coleman. '' She beams a smile at me I make my way out of the room. Principal Coleman kind of sounded cold to me. Maybe, if I hadn't been late it wouldn't have occurred. The first period bell rings as the speaker set in the hallways explodes. '' All students are requested to enter their classes. '' I glance at the paper in my hand. '' First period: Precalc '' I read. I sigh leaving for my class. I managed to enter the class in time requesting everyone to tell me the way since I am aware of nothing. When I set foot into the class my eyes shifts to see that Dina scribbling something on an empty paper. I scan the room anticipating to find a perfect seat for me. But my luck wasn't helping. Because the only seats left were beside Dina. The both seat on her left and right were empty. People must be terrified of her. I had the boldness to sit beside her right. I expected her to glare at me but she didn't. When the class starts the teacher writes his name into the board. '' Good Morning Class. '' Our precalc teacher was very well dressed. He looked kind of 30ish to me. Meanwhile, in the middle of the education a girl burst into the class. I spy on her as she infiltrates cautiously. '' Well, hello... Miss Greene'' Mr. Thompson caught her snooping in. She revolved to face him while I analyzed her. She was short like 5 foot something. I don't think I have met someone as small as her. Her hair was baby pink colored as they bounce with her playful steps. She had freckles assembled over her nose. She twitches the top of her nose every time she attempts to lie. '' I got stuck in a jam. '' Judging Mr. Thompson's face I could say he wasn't buying it. '' Are you sure? '' He steps a little closer rhythmically speeding every girl's heartbeat in that room. The girl sits on the left beside Dina arranging her books as she replied confidently. '' Of course.... Where else would I be? '' She raises her eyebrows as if she dared the teacher. Mr. Thompson throws a chuckle confusing everyone by his behavior. '' Come on.. Charmaine!'' He bends to her seat giving a piecing look with his toffee brown eyes scaring Charmaine. '' I saw you leaving the Sports Auditorium 10 minutes ago. '' My intuition was, what's wrong being in a auditorium? Then it clicked, maybe she was doing something bad which is certainly is against the rules. Everyone understood the threat as well as Charmaine but nonetheless she doesn't show the fright on her face.
