Anna's Pov
"It's …it's not what you think Alex. I did not mean to.." I struggled to say as I stammered to get the words out. My voice went faint as I did not know what else to say, Alex had taken me off guard to the extent that I was speechless.
I had wanted to play the victim but looking at how things had turned out, there was no chance of me being even trying to do that, no space at all for all of that.
"It's not what I think? Is that what is coming out of your mouth Anna? Do you know how much trouble you have caused for me now? Do you know how bad things are?" He asked with a face mixed with anger and hurt.
Looking at him talk like that, a part of me felt sorry and I started to pity him. I could not help but wonder what my actions could have cost him, for him to be reacting this way
