I was livid. I could barely believe my ears when Marco gave me the news. Who would dare do this?
"I just received a call that the safe house is on fire boss," Marco reported to my shock with a voice of urgency and also still in disbelief as he delivered the news.
I almost sprung up from where I sat. My mind started beating at such a rapid pace that it could almost burst out of my chest anytime.
"What? The safe house is what? Did I just hear you clearly Marco?" I asked him as I adjusted on my seat and sat at the edge. I pretended I had not heard him the first time.
