Laura's Pov
The drive to grandfather's house was a quiet one. Antonio did not say a single word to me, and I on the other hand maintained my silence.
I made sure to stick to the other side of the car while he also did the same. It just all felt so odd, strange, and awkward.
"How could it just happen that someone whom I have been talking to now feels like a stranger all of a sudden because of the accusation leveled against me?" I thought to myself with sadness and not too much of a surprise in my mind.
I tried to steal a look at him but I could not just get myself to turn my head to look at him. He looked like a different person entirely, someone unreachable, someone like Antonio Rizzo!
