Laura's Pov
It had now been three days of me trying to reach Antonio, all without success. I could not believe he would avoid me after canceling our meeting like that without giving me any reason.
"What is he up to these days? Why hasn't he called me back or tried to reach out to know how I am doing?" I often asked myself in soliloquy as I did not have anyone to ask about it.
I had tried to convince Mary to stay with me for a while as I could not be by myself, but Mary was just too scared to stay in the penthouse, not knowing if Antonio would like that. Now I was so lonely.
"I can't believe Mary actually persuaded me to call him three days ago, now I feel so embarrassed that I did that," I said to myself further as I remembered the events of that day.
