"Tell me, was it on purpose?"Jina asked as she aimed a punch at my face. I dodged it.
"Careful with my face—I won’t be able to hide the bruise," I said, blocking her next attack from hitting my shoulder. She was collected and focused, while I was already panting after twenty minutes. I didn't get as much time as I should have to train. Yet, she always managed to drag me onto the mat whenever she got the chance.
"You were very adept at hiding the marks after that night at the beach house."
"Can't we just let it go?" I attacked, but she blocked it head-on and didn’t let go, twisting my wrist. I didn’t make a sound at the pain, only gritted my teeth.
"You slept with the boss of the Shadow Knights, and he’s married."
That did it. I flushed at the reminder of my very complicated situation
