The silence wrapped around us like a cloak. He slowly raised my head, and I looked at him with hooded eyes. Gently, he brushed my hair away from my face and pulled me in for a soft kiss before withdrawing. The wetness swept through me as he left, leaving me aching and empty once again. I sighed.
