CHAPTER 2

Before Ivan could say any thing Joan said "if you are done you can see yourself out " with that she turned and went back upstairs. for a while Ivan did not know what to do he did not even know when he reached the main gate he was lost in thought trying to figure out the reason for the sudden change in Joan.

meanwhile back in Joan's room. _looks like that's taken care of, but i don't believe that a person can be so stupid to the point that they do not know when they are clearly being duped, but anyways I won't make that same mistake_

Joan became really hungry and remembered she had not had breakfast and asked the maids to prepare something for her to eat, she decided not to tell anyone that the real Joan was dead and she was another person entirely.

the food was prepared and Joan went downstairs to eat , " wow, so many dishes and they all look delicious " she said , all the maids looked astonished because Joan would usually look for a reason to scold and insult them every day , but today she was acting different. Joan told the maids that they can leave and she would call them when she was done eating.

"have you guys noticed something strange about miss Joan?" one of the maids asked "yes, she is acting a bit too out of character, usually she would scold us for everything but now she has not even gotten angry at us" another maid answered " and I hope she stays like this forever" the maid continued " yes me too, but you know good things never last" the first maid said. " why did miss Joan suddenly stop liking sir Ivan? " a different maid asked " maybe she finally realized that sir Ivan was duping her " the first maid answered " and how do you know that sir Ivan was duping miss Joan? " " can't you see how he is always pretending to want to break off his alliance with miss Joan? but when ever she give him something he stops for a while" " you are right ,I have also noticed it but never thought too much of it ", " but thank God that miss Joan finally understood his plan and sent him away" " good for her , any way I have other things to do" and with that all the maids dispersed to their various work stations .

Joan finally finished eating and called the maids " thank you for the food , it was amazing" she told the maids who once again were stunned by Joan's niceness " it's nothing miss Joan , we were just doing our jobs " said one of the maids " yes but still thank you, I know you all are a bit surprised by my sudden change but don't worry I am now a changed person , I will no longer treat you the way I used to, and I hope you all can forgive me for my past mistakes" she said in one breath , the maids were even more shocked they never expected her to ask for forgiveness, " so do you all forgive me?" she asked " y..y..yes w..we do " the all managed to say, although Joan was a fighter in her past life, she was still a very nice person.

the next day Joan's grandfather came back from his business trip because he received news of what happened between Joan and Ivan.

there was a knock on Joan's door " come in" she said " miss Joan your grandfather is back and he is asking for you" the maid politely informed Joan when she came in " ok , you may leave, I am coming" she replied the maid

_ I knew that he wouldn't just let It go like that but I never knew he would be so thick skinned and go straight to my grandfather, it seams like just calling off this alliance is not enough, I will make sure both him, his family and my cousin pay_
