“But, I—you—I didn’t—” “Come over here. Don’t be f*****g stupid,” Raoul said, clearly annoyed. He couldn’t think of any excuse to say no. Gavin crawled over the cushions to where Raoul lay, surrounded by as many cushions as he could get close to him. “Get in here. I bet if we pile all these cushions around us and then with our body heat, we might be all right. Try taking off your jacket and using it as a blanket—that seems to work.” It took a few minutes before they had everything arranged for “max heat,” as Raoul said, and were lying down, sort of covered by both their jackets, and close enough to touch, but not quite touching, their backs to each other.
