CHAPTER 05: School with a Vampire

"Why are you glaring at me now?" Caine asked Alex. If one had to ask what was it that vampires hated the most, it would undoubtedly be cars. With their speed, there was really no need for cars, but after they became known to the world, they didn't have to act restrained like before. Now, although such a thing seems good, when you get over thousand reports each day that vampire x crashed into vampire y or that they had an argument because of barely avoiding some third vampire z and crashed something in the way, you realize that human's laws considering traffics really are necessary for the world.

Now, if there's something they hate even more is to drive a car at snail's pace and have an annoying breathing trash-talk machine by their side.

"THIS!" she pointed with her fingers at herself.

"What, I gave you something to wear, it's not like you're naked. Be grateful for not dragging you out right after your shower," he said sighing. Mortals really can be so dramatic sometimes.

"I don't mean on that. I..." she poked her chests, "...MEAN..." and then her jeans, "...ON..." and she pointed at her whole self, "...THIS!!!"

"What? My clothes?" he asked rising his eyebrow.

"Exactly," she finally exclaimed, "I'm wearing your clothes!"

"I gave you that damn dress you declined being too classy to wear and since you had nothing else to wear, you should be grateful for me even allowing you to wear MY clothes," he couldn't believe it, this crazy woman is insane. She was glaring at him just because he gave her clothes. He sure as hell wouldn't allow her to go naked around all those horny teenage males, he'd rip their heads off... Wait what? Rip their heads of because of her?

Fuck this s**t and mating feelings and bonds and whatnot!

How the hell did she menage to get under skin?

He cannot accept this bond. She'll betray him... Or die before she gets her chance! Yes, humans are stupid, they seek death on their own initiative.

As he had internal battle of wits and complaints, Alex the other hand, was biting her lip so hard trying to calm down. He offered her the fùcking sluty dress that barely covered her butt. Of course she would never wear it. And then what? He offered her his clothes or to take her naked to the school? Who the heck does that to their mat... Students. Yea, that's what we are, student and the teacher, nothing else. Our relationship wouldn't have been possible in the first place. But she may use that to get him in jail... Not. 'Long time ago, since vampires came known to the humans and wanted to dominate us, no one dared to go against them. They killed half the human population, more then 4 billion people just to what, prove to is that they are our new masters? Can control us however they want and we have to dance around their little finger?

Well fùck that! The point, no one would even dare to go against a Vampire, especially to jail one... King of them all none less...' she thought with annoyed look on her face. And why is she going to the school once again? Oh, right, because she tried to live a normal life.

The key word is 'tried', until this creeper came and claimed for her to be his mate. If he hated her so much, why didn't he just stood aside and not interfered with her life?

No, he just had to try and kill her... Well tried actually, somebody outrunned him in that one.

"Why me..." she sighed hitting the window next to her with her head as he glanced at her. Though it was hard to admit it, the human was right. Why did he tell her that he's her mate and that crap? If he stayed quiet about it, she wouldn't have found out and he could live happily ever after... But then again there's that guy that tried to kill her, so... Fùck with it, it was already driving him crazy with only having to think about her enough, he didn't need more problems... And he had to kill Aro since long ago, so this is only a bigger pain in the ass.

"Much people have even worse life, so shut up and don't complain" he said keeping his eyes on the road.

"And whose fault for that is, Mr. Mighty Vampire?" she mocked as he growled at her. Beloved or not, this girl should be lessoned.

"People were in much worse state before we came, sweetheart" was all he said as she rolled her eyes. 'Yea right, it's called freedom, buddy' she thought for herself and he mentally face-palmed himself. She knew nothing about twenty-first century when people were in wars and many starved to death. If vampires haven't interfered, they would all have died... Along with this planet. Humans maybe don't need this planet considering how they live shortly, but vampires are eternal, if their only home was to be destroyed, then what would they do? Fly to Mars?

Soon they came to the school grounds and he parked his car.

"After all of your classes, come here and wait for me. Don't you dare leave alone" he said and she nodded glaring at him.

"Fine, your Highness," she mocked as she got up while a lot of students and professors watched the girl getting out of car of the most feared vampire alive. The vampires could feel him all over her, so they immediately knew that she was to be avoided, while those humans watched with jealousy towards Alex.

"Why do you think she's with him?" or "That w***e" were the words girls were saying. Isn't the current society just wonderful?

From aside, one vampire was watching the couple with a rage in her eyes, how dare she be so near her king, he don't deserve some weak human by his side, she is more fitted for that role. To be driven in his expensive cars, to be told by his to wait here and there until he comes, to wear his clothes! Wait, does that mean that she slept with him? She's going to pay for this.

Meanwhile, as Alex finally parted from Caine, she headed to English, her first period as she was sighing all the way long because of the uncomfortable gazes she received all around her.

"Why did I have to get dragged into this?" she mumbled to herself closing her eyes as she slammed into someone.

"Sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going. Are you alright?" she asked noting that she bumped in some blond girl. She naturally noticed her, how could someone like her who can trash vampires possibly be unaware of this tasteless ploy to "let's bump and meet and be besties forever or something" ploy? But she was quite bored and that leech truly made her seek death on her own and trash someone again.

"Sure, don't worry about it. It was kind of my fault too, I was all head on clouds, you see," the girl laughed nervously, "By the way, I'm Alison, and you are..." she trailed.

"Alex, nice to meet you," she said shaking her hand. Ah, pure skin without a trace of scars, plump lips and silky hair. Vampire, indeed, only those fuckers could shine with such radiance like they weren't even humans.

"You're the talk of the school, you and king... I mean professor Caine. What is going on between the two of you?" she asked curiously. She said "king", as expected - a vampire.

"Nothing much, just put my nose where I shouldn't and now I'm paying the consequences..." 'with that asshole' she wanted to add but decided against it. He's the chick's king, who knows if she's like one of those human cult worshipers who'd rip a dinosaur apart with their rage if they dared blemish their gods and idols.

"Oh, is it so... Well never mind, what are you having for first period?"

"English at Mrs. Roderick, why?"

"OMG, me too! Let's go together!" Alison exclaimed grabbing Alex's arm and dragging her along to their first class. Soon, little by little, all six periods have passed and Alex had no idea as to how long will she wait for Caine.

"What now?" she wondered out loud.

"I'll give you a ride!" Alison said, suddenly appearing behind her.

"Oh, I'm afraid I can't go" Alex replied sheepishly.

"What's the worst the can happen, come on! You'll enjoy the time with me, I promise," A vampire chick that obviously looked like noble had time to come to her and invite her to "have fun" right after she stayed over at Caine's place... If this doesn't smell like trap, then her nose is a snowman's carrot. But even so... What's the worst that can happen, she'll just have to trash whomever comes her way.

Schemes are too troublesome to deal with, violence is the key to your problems!

"Alright, let's go," she said to which Alison beamed from joy.

Finally. The dumb human agreed!

"Let me just go and take my car," with that, she left Alex's line of sight making the later sigh. Now, all that's left is to hurry, Caine has a habit to appear out of the thin air, and he proved that few times last day when she tried to escape. Not so long later, she came and Alex wasted no time to jump in her car.

On the other hand, Caine who could hear her thoughts almost broke the pen he was marking many different tests with. Well, it seems like chase is about to start. And so, after dismissing the whole class from their work and sending them home, he got up and headed towards where his instincts were telling him Alex is. But then, suddenly he felt nothing, not a single thought or sense of her. What the hell happened. It was like she had disappeared from the face of Earth itself...

Needless to say, he was quite pissed off about that.
