Walking back to the army base camp, down by the valley to the river, Omiji and Viggo hear some noise coming from afar.
"What's that noise," Omiji asks, as both guards walk onto the river's bank.
I don't know," Viggo mutters, he is walking behind Omiji.
They get to the riverbank.
Omiji raises his hand at Viggo as a signal, the signal means for him to stop and keep mute.
Viggo notices Omiji's signal.
He stops suddenly and they both go down on one knee.
The sound they hear is coming from across the bridge, from within the woods to the west.
They reach for their rifles and unstrap them from their backs.
The noise is mostly of dogs barking, several of them at once, and men, probably hunters, yelling outcries and signal calls.
A gunshot rings out.
