"I will stay with her," Erin muttered as she gently stroked Ivy's hair and cradled her to herself. Ivy's eyes were dimmed. Her body was pale but she still glanced at me and her mother with all the love in her eyes.
"Are you sure? I can stay with her too," I suggested, after all, we had been through this week, I wanted more time with my daughter. My daughter, the one my blood runs through.
"Yes, please and I need time to be alone with my daughter," Erin muttered in a low tone and her words stung me, the fact that she would still think Ivy is all hers pisses me off. I would have reminded her that Ivy is also my daughter but I decided to let it go.
"Fine, I would go home, after all, we are still expecting the warlock tomorrow and I need to prepare for that,"
