Revan

Revan I had never seen anyone so beautiful in my life. Her hair was dark brown and she had dark brown eyes. Her gaze was intense but still warm and soft. Her lips were full and red. I didn't know if it was because it was cold but it was dark and you could see them as they stood out from all of her features. I didn't want to leave but I felt bad for intruding on her bath. I wondered why she was out here alone but it did seem peaceful. I headed back to the village. "Brother," my little brother called. "Hello, Arthur." I had three brothers and one sister. Our eldest brother, Galen was wise above his years. He was brave and a little arrogant but he protected his family. My other brother was one year younger than me. His name was Zen. He was a wild one. He never did as he was told but again he cared for his family and always protected Arthur. Arthur loved hanging around me the most though. We were known as the four noble boys. We came from wealth and my family was always trying to better themselves. We moved to these new inhabited lands and made our name known. It only took us a few months for everyone in the area to know our family name, Coventry. My sister was a rare beauty. She had long red hair like the finest apple you had ever seen. Georgina was modest and fair. She liked adventure but was also timid. I think we preferred her timid side. "Where have you been?" Arthur asked. "I was gathering berries as mother asked," I told him. "And you got lost," Galen accused. "You must learn not to be such a burden on us." "A burden," I said. "Well, brother, I should run away and live in the forest if I am such a burden." "I didn't mean it that way. I just meant. Had you not found your way out I would have to go and look for you," Galen explained. "I am so sorry, I almost put you in that so unfortunate situation," I said to him. "Whatever, go help mother with dinner," Galen said. "Whatever you say, sir," I laughed. "Doing a woman's work again?" my brother Zen joked. "I might spit in your food if you continue to tease me," I told him. He tried to hit me but I moved away and he fell to the ground. "Bastard," Zen said harshly as I helped him off the floor. "Can I help?" Georgina asked. I nodded. "I want to help too," Arthur chimed in too. I handed him a wooden spoon and helped him up to a stool. He helped me stir a few things while Georgina cut vegetables. "You seem different," my mother said. "Do I?" I questioned. "Yes," she smiled. "You seem happy." "Was I not always happy?" I asked. "Perhaps comfortable and pleasant but not happy," she said. "That comes later in life when you find something to make you happy." "Like?" "Like, love, family," she said. "Oh," her smile made me think she knew something I didn't. "Well, I am going to bed," I told her. "Alright, sweet dreams," That it was. I had nothing but sweet dreams. I saw nothing but her. She was bathing and I. I didn't mean to dream about her like that but that is how I saw and remember her. I wanted to see her again. The minute I woke up it was all I could think about. I told my mother I was going to fetch some wood and more berries. I told her not to tell my brothers. I didn't want them coming into the woods. She told me to be careful and so I went on my way. I was anxious and my heart was beating so fast. I didn't know if I would bump into her again but it was all I could hope for. This is where I met her. Maybe she comes into the forest a lot. I had been walking for what seemed like forever. I had almost given up hope since I remember this time where I began my journey and I didn't want to get lost again. I suddenly heard humming. I looked around and didn't see anyone. It was so soft and soothing. I followed it. I had reached a river cliff. She was dangling her legs over it. "Freya!" I shouted. "Oh my, you scared me," she said softly. "What are you doing here?" "I, um. I came looking for you," I didn't know why I was so bold and honest but I couldn't help it. "Oh, um. Why?" she asked nervously. "I, I had never met anyone that wasn't from our village," I told her. "Oh," she still seemed nervous. "I am sorry," "Why?" she asked. "I guess you didn't want to be found," she smiled. "No, I didn't but," she paused. "I guess it's nice to be found sometimes." I smiled back. "Can I sit next to you?" I asked. She nodded. "So, this place is so cool. How did you find it?" "I walk the forest a lot," she answered. "Oh, cool," I replied. "Bet there are a lot of interesting places in here." "Yeah, but I bet the best ones are past that horizon," she pointed out. I looked past the horizon and saw another forest. "Yeah, I bet there are lots of villages and people over there," I said. "I much rather see the forest," she said. "Why don't you go?" I asked stupidly. "I like it here," she said simply. "I like it here too," I said. I was staring at her and I meant what I said. For the first time, I really did like it here more than anywhere I had ever been. "So, this your village close by?" I asked. She looked startled and simply nodded. "Oh, okay. Can I visit you sometime? Just tell me how to get there?" "You should go," she said. "Wait, what?" "Please, just go," she scattered up and began to run. I ran after her and called out her name. "Freya, please," "No, just go," I grabbed her arm and turned her around. "Freya, please. Let's be friends." "No, I can't," She brought her hands to my temple and suddenly everything went dark.
