Ep 3 - Everything is going to be Okay

On the other side of town, emma arrived at her aunt's home with her two young twins, brian and amy.

-oh my goodness, you are both just perfect, emma aunt mary squealed as she pulled brian and amy in for a big hug.

-aunt mary then turned to her and smiled and look at you, you are all grown up. You have come back to town as a beautiful woman, i'm so happy that you are finally home.

-a few hours later emma tuck her children into bad at her aunt's house.

-goodnight sweet hearts, i'm so proud of you. Mommy has to go run an important errant tonight, but your great aunt is going to be here to take good care of you. I love you both so much and emma kneel down and gave both brian and amy a tender kiss on their foreheads and left the room.

-closing the door behind her, Emma thought to herself; the only good thing that i have done in my entire life is giving birth to my wonderful twins.

-they push me to go after my dreams, is because i wanna be someone that they can be proud of.

-putting on her jean jacket emma took a deep breath, just then aunt mary entered the room.

-everything is going to be okay, you're just going to go over there, take your mother's things and then come back right away, you understand?

-emma looked at her aunt's concerned face and nodded.

-you're right, i can do this.

-of course you can, but please emma i beg of you, whatever you do, don't get into a fight with your step family, they will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

-emma smile, i am no longer the impulsive girl that i was five years ago, i know better than to get involved with them.

-this time, i'm only going to go over and retrieve my mother's belongings, as soon as they give them to me, i'm going to immediately leave and come home,

-aunt mary said as she handed her car keys to emma, you too, emma smiled, as she took the car keys and left the house.

-fifteen minutes later, emma arrived at her step families house.

-emma noticed that there was a swarm of people surrounding the mansion.

-the roads on both sides of the door were packed with reporters and fans, emma gasps;

-what is going on? since when did my old family home become a prime destination for paparazzi and celebrities?

-covering her face, emma did her best to squeeze through the crowd as she walked quickly toward the miller villas main entrance.

-a famous actress who is being shot by a photographer saw emma and thought that she might be an assistant and commanded; hey you, come over here for a moment, help me lift my skirt!!!

-emma turned her head to look at the celebrity, are you talking to me?

-yeah, you! come over here and help me.

-the actresses tone was somewhat patients, as though lifting the hem of her skirt was a rare honor. sorry i'm busy, i've got more important things to do.

emma replied coldly as she pushed through the crowd and left the actress behind.

the actress had never received such treatment before and her face immediately flushed red. Reporters on the side immediately took photos of her being rejected. she resentful stared at emma's back frowning her face; i'll get my revenge.

entering the house, emma realized that she was dressed very casual with a per of jeans and a white tee shirt.

-looking at the guess adorned and ballroom gowns, emma knew that she looked extremely out of place.

-nothing new here, emma thought to herself as she made her way through the entrance.

-an ordinary man dressed in black and white pointed at emma, there you are. You're late, we need you to go grab a tray and pass out champagnes.

-oh! no...i'm not here to work as a waiter, i'm actually here to... The man interupted; typical, millennials never seem to want to work.

-emma apologize; i'm sorry, i think that you're confused.

-the man's said angrily, first you show up late and then you talk back to me, do you even know who i am?

-walking down the hallway emma finally found some privacy in the back of the house.

-looking around her childhood home and emma felt her stomach frup, it's been years since i've lived here.

-after i went abroad, my dad and everyone cut me off.

at first, it hurts but then i realized that i was better off without them.

and now that i'm back here, i realized that this was never my home, it was just a place that i live.

-okay, take a deep breath. i just need to find the things that my mother left for me and then get the hell out of here.

-just then, Stephanie's voice echoed down the hallway; no mom, he's not coming. i asked William but he said that he had to work, you know how busy he is. emma held her breath as she saw her stepmother and stepsister for the first time since she left LA.

-in the past five years, stephanie have become one of the most famous actress is in the world.

-overnight she had gone from an unknown to the most desirable woman in hollywood.

-emma had always wonder just how stephanie climb the ranks so quickly, after everything that she had been through, emma knew deep down that stephanie must have found some way to scheme her way to success.

-seeing stephanie for the first time since their fight, emma couldn't help but notice how much stephanie had changed, money may not be able to buy you happiness but in stephanie case it seem to have bought her a new face.

standing next to stephanie was an older i see woman dressed in a designer gown and holding a champagne flute, this woman was julia jones, Stephanie's mother and emma step mother.

-stephanie and julia were surrounded by a few up and coming actresses and actors who are hoping to ride Stephanie's coattails to stardom.

-"stephanie you are so gorgeous, i love that color on you" a young actress gushed.

-stephanie forced a smile as she thought to herself;

-i love all of this attention, but i wonder if they would even care about me if i didn't have william backing me. i'm only famous because william used his connections and power to make me a star and i've tried for the last five years to trick him into falling in love with me but he could care less.

-he's only being nice to me because he thinks that he owes me for something that happened five years ago.

-what will he do if he ever finds out the truth and if he drops me will anyone even care about me anymore?

-just then Stephanie's face froze as she saw emma walking toward her, stephanie quickly turned to her mother and whispered; what is she doing here and tonight of all nights, ah!!! I swear she has made it her life's mission to ruin me.

-remembering her aunt mary's instructions, emma walked up to stephanie and calmly spoke;

where are the things that my mother left for me?

-ignoring emma's question, stephanie turn to her admiring funs and nodded; you guys go ahead and have fun i have some family matters to take care of,

-as soon as the group disappeared stephanie curse through her forced smile,

How dare you come back? i thought i made it pretty clear that no one once you here.

-emma stood her ground.

My mother left some things for me, that's the only reason why i'm back here.

-i will leave as soon as you give them to me.

-stephanie face turned red, you want your mother's things? fine. then follow me, we're going to have a little chat.

-looking into her stepsisters angry eyes, emma thought to herself; what have i gotten myself into.
