It ended with a surprise(part two)

Tobias's P.O.V. Throughout the whole class that mutt stared at my precious kitten. All the while making him uncomfortable. Poor Dustin didn't deserve this. But the worst part is that we have all the same classes together. Don't get me wrong I'm sure he's a nice guy but the way he looks at Dustin as if he were a meal unsettles me. He already doesn't have many friends and if this douche hurts him I don't know what I'll do but it won't be pretty. Dustin's P.O.V. It was lunchtime and Michael, the new kid, kept staring at me from across the room. He did this for a while before he got up and came towards me. I heard Toby hiss and I giggled. He was always so overprotective ever since we met. When Michael got to the table Tobias held my hand protectively. Michael didn't like that at all, he growled and glared at Tobias before looking at me. "Hello there little kitten, mind if I sit with you?" He asked smiling sweetly. I was shaking less but it was still noticeable. He was a scary guy. He was probably half a foot taller than me and his piercing green eyes looked like crystal shards, beautiful in color but sharp enough to cut you in half with no effort. I shook my head and squeezed Tobias's hand for reassurance which he immediately gave me with a squeeze back. Michael sat down in front of me and we all just sat in silence. Michael was the first to speak, "You know as much as I like calling you kitten could you tell me your name?" He said it so nonchalantly and it made me feel something but I didn't know what, it felt weird. "D-Dustin." was my short reply. He smiled after I had spoken and the feeling grew stronger which scared me. Then he turned his head to Tobias glaring at him then at our intertwined hands. He growled lowly before looking back at Toby's face. "So who are you?" He asked rudely, and before Toby could answer with what I could only assume is a snarky remark I beat him there. "Hey don't be rude to him. He's my friend so if you're nice to me then you're nice to him, got it?" I snapped and shocked both boys. Michael looked down whimpering before he looked back up. "I'm sorry. What's your name?" He asked Toby and I smiled happy that I could intimidate someone so much bigger and stronger than me. "Tobias." Toby replied. "You too Toby, you have to be nice to him since he apologized." I said giving no room for argument. Tobias groaned and rolled his eyes. "Okay okay I'm sorry. I'm Tobias." I smiled and Michael chuckled. "Nice to meet both of you. Can I hang out with you guys? I don't really have friends here." Michael asked after a moment of silence. I nodded while Tobias said no. I looked at Toby with puppy dog eyes and stuck my bottom lip out. He sighed, "Fine but only cause you're adorable." He said hugging me tightly making me blush. Michael sat there and whimpered quietly before he glared at Toby. "Are you guys dating or something?" He mumbled under his breath. Why would he even think that. That's how all friends act...isn't it? I looked at Michael confused while Tobias answered. "I wish I mean look at him who wouldn't want a piece of that?" Toby joked biting his lip and looking down as if he were looking at my butt. I giggled and punched his arm. "Stop joking around Toby. You of all people should know I'm nothing to look at." I said and he gave me a sympathetic look before hugging me. Michael growled again before he looked at me. The look in his eyes was scary and I started shaking. His eyes softened when he saw how scared I was. "I don't believe that. I think you're definitely something worth looking at." He said with a smug look on his face. I blushed and Tobias frowned. The rest of lunch was silent and soon the bell rung for last period. We all got up and made our way to math. Once we sat down I noticed that when we're all together I end up sitting in between the two boys. It was probably a coincidence so I left it alone and payed attention to the teacher. An hour and forty minutes later the final bell range and everyone rushed out the room except me, Tobias and Michael. I gathered my stuff as the two guys glared at each other. When I was done they both looked at me and smiled. I smiled back and we all walked out to the exit.
