She blinked her eyes open until they peeled apart. The last she remembered was putting her bags in the car. The bags were filled with hundreds of clothing items she would wear to her trip to France with her boyfriend, Shawn. Her and Shawn were high school sweethearts. They were perfect for each other, so similar in every way. Shawn was the boy every girl wanted to bring home. He was perfect in every way. His charm is what attracts everyone and that's what kept Scarlett wrapped around his finger. Their life together was very vanilla and that's just the way they liked it. She groaned as she moved her sore shoulders and she grimaced at how tight she was. She made a mental note to schedule a massage this week before the trip. She went to go rub her eyes but her hands wouldn't move. She furrowed her eyebrows and her eyes focused more on her surroundings. The room was all stone and the floor she was laying on was concrete that had old stains of red. There was a single light shining down on her and there was no door. How was there no door? How did she get in here if there was no door? Her hands were attached to chains that were bolted to the wall and she tugged on them a little more. She was locked in. Panic began to set in and her breathing began to pick up as she scanned the empty room again. How long had she been in there for? Hours, days, months? Surly it had only been a couple of hours considering how fresh her clothes she put on this morning were. Here black jeans and white blouse were still on but her moccasins and pink vest were nowhere to be seen or her watch for that matter. She was able to roll up her sleeves with the amount of slack she was given on the chain and it made her have more mobility in the outfit. Surly Shawn would be looking for her by now because she cooks dinner for him every night and tonight would be no exception so he'd had to notice she was gone soon. She imagined him coming home from his day at the office and sniffing for signs of her famous cooking, but to no avail she wouldn't be there to great him and he would be home alone. That's when he'll call the police and she'll be rescued. The thought gave her hope and seemed to relax her a minuscule amount. She turned around and pressed her feet against the wall and tried to pull the bolt out of the wall but it only managed to cut into her wrists and make them more sore. She bit her trembling lip and looked around the cold room and wished to be in the arms of Shawn. Her imagination wandered to him running into the police station and demanding they send every man to look for her. She was too innocent to know that she would not be leaving anytime soon and the cops were paid off and would throw her file right into the trash as soon as her boyfriend left the station. She jumped in her skin when the wall across from her hummed and a portion of the wall slid open and she pressed herself into the opposite wall to get as far away from whatever was on the other side. Soon a man walked in with a sickening smirk on his lips and he gave Scarlett the creeps. She trembled as she stared at who she thought was her captor and right then and there she wished back all of the wrongs she did in her life. Like the time she cheated on her Trigonometry final or when she stole those sunglasses out of boredom. "Well well well, if it isn't the woman of the hour," He spoke in a hungry tone that made Scarlett gulp. "Or should I say year, we've been on your tail for a while, doll face," he said and her eyes widened as he revealed she was being watched for the past year. How much had they seen? Had they seen all that she thought only she knew about? How much did they know? Her questions gave her a headache and she grimaced. "Where's that 2 million dollar smile at, doll face?" He asked as he squatted down to her level and ran a a calloused finger under her chin to make her green eyes stare back into his. Her face morphed into pure fear as she stared into his beady eyes that were filled with so much evil it made her skin crawl. "Hey, Robin, hands off before boss cuts your hands off!" I feminine voice warned and he didn't even flinch. He only smirked at Scarlett and ran his thumb over her soft plump lips and then he stood to his large height and held his hands up. "Eh just checking out what 2 million dollars looks like in a woman," he said with his hands still up in surrender and he stepped aside so Scarlett could see a pissed off redhead in the doorway that looked familiar for some reason to her. Robin smirked back at Scarlett, "And I was not disappointed," He said as he bit his lip and winked at her. It made her want to gag but she held back and only looked away and down at her lap. "Get the f**k out," The redhead said and Robin dropped his hands and waltzed out with the same smirk that Scarlett began to wonder if it was permanent. "Anything for you, Maverick,"He said in a condescending tone that made her roll her eyes and watch him walk out. The door slid shut behind him and it was only Scarlett and Maverick in the room now. Scarlett felt eyes on her but she didn't want to look up. She knew she should not trust this woman just like she shouldn't with the last guy, but she couldn't help but feel a little relieved to see her. The man could probably do more harm than this woman. Boy was she wrong. "Listen up," She snapped and Scarlett jumped at the sudden noise and looked up. She took in the girls appearance and it was easier to memorize her features to tell the police than it was to memorize the mans. She was a redhead and kinda resembled Emma Stone and she was covered in tattoos. She looked sweet but as soon as she spoke you were sorely mistaken. "You are here for a reason and you will not be leaving anytime soon. I want you to get it out of your head that that boring ass boyfriend of yours is going to rescue you because he won't. He won't even know where to begin looking. The cops won't help him so he's all on his own with a bunch of our guys on his tail so if he did get close we would stop him immediately. You are stuck here for good and you will follow every direction given to you, is that clear?" She asked in a harsh tone and Scarlett could feel her tears slip down her cheek and she couldn't reach up to wipe them away. "I said is that clear!" Maverick snap as she roughly grabbed Scarlett's face and she winced as her nails dig into her skin. "Y-yes" she sobbed out and the girls lips curled into a sickening smirk at Scarlett's weakness. The woman who has been jealous of Scarlett had power of her and it felt good. "Yes what!" She snapped louder and Scarlett felt blood being drawn from the parts her nails dug into. "Y-Yes ma'am," Scarlett sobbed and she knew her makeup was a mess by now and she wished she could just go shower and fall asleep and wake up back home in her bed. "Good," she smirked and Scarlett heard the sounds of her chains moving and soon her wrists were free from the wall, but she didn't even think about trying to fight the woman in front of her. She would definitely lose if she tried. The chains hung from her wrists and dangled at her feet. "Get on your hands and knees!" She ordered and Maverick discovered the sick pleasure she felt by this. It's been a long time since she was given the power over a capture and she couldn't be more happy it was this girl. Maverick, like everyone else in the business, was twisted. With shaky hands Scarlett leaned forward but her head was push roughy and it slammed into the floor. She cried in shock and the pain was only small, but she was so terrified at how she was being treated and that's what caused most of the tears. She kept to her orders and got to her hands and knees. "Head down," Another order was fired and soon there was something wrapped around her neck and she gasped as the cool metal tightened around her skin. The chains around her wrists were gone and she was now suited with a chain around her neck like an animal. Scarlett felt disgusted and it made her cry harder. "Crawl," Maverick demanded but the second of hesitation was fatal because the chain was pulled tight and Scarlett choked on her short supply of air and she quickly followed her commanded and crawled forward against the cold concrete. The doors slid open and she kept crawling with Maverick skipping behind her with a smirk on her lips. They walked down a hallway that was illuminated by red lights and there were doors along the walls. Each door they passed they heard different sounds coming from them all pertaining to sounds of suffering. Scarlett wondered if it was a good thing she was out of her holding spot because she wouldn't end up like the tormented behind those doors. Once Scarlett couldn't walk no more she stopped, "Sit back," Maverick snapped and Scarlett sat back on her heels and looked up at her with tear stained cheeks that only added to Mavericks joy. She slipped a black bag over Scarlett's face and she was now blind. She felt the door in front of her open and warm air blew in softly and it terrified her to know she was going somewhere where she couldn't see. "Go," Maverick called and tugged on the leash to pull Scarlett along. The tugs weren't as rough but enough to make her quickly follow orders. She could hear talking around her but she could tell none of the voices were in her direction. What was going on around her? Her hands and knees began to ache as she was forced to crawl up stairs at an unreasonable pace and Scarlett wondered how long she would have to live like this before she was saved. Maverick had to have been bluffing when she said no one could find her. She was just trying to make Scarlett give up home. Right? Soon the bag was lifted off her head and Scarlett felt carpet under her hands. She looked around and she was in a bedroom that was magnificent, it almost made her feel like she was at another fancy hotel. "All the windows are bulletproof so don't even try breaking them and none of the phones work without a thumbprint so those don't work for you either. Shower. You smell. And get some rest. We are going to have more fun tomorrow," Maverick gave a satisfied smirk and spun around and walked out. The door shut behind her and locked with the sound of a heavy locking system that made her feel like she was in a safe. Still following orders in fear that Maverick was listening for the sound of the shower, Scarlett walked into the bathroom and got cleaned up. The warm water felt good on her bruised skin and if she closed her eyes and hummed it felt like she was in her penthouse again showering late at night. She found a closet the was filed with clothes that were all her size and that began to eat at her hope. These people planned to keep her here for a while. She noticed another door lead to another closet and when she opened it she saw men's clothing. Deciding against snooping in fear that she was being watched and she quickly closed the door and hurried to the large bed that felt like a cloud. She sank into the soft bedding and she took a deep breath and a wonderful smell filled her senses. It was minty and musky and addicting. It was a comforting smell that wrapped around her as she cried herself to sleep.
