Chapter 17

Aiden POV

I am currently getting ready for lunch at Olivia's house. I am wearing a simple white shirt with black jeans. Noah and Stella are going to pick me up as I'm not in a mood of driving and my driver is on holidays. After a while, Noah honked in front of my house. I went outside and after greeting them I sat in the backseat.

"I don't get it. Out of nowhere, she invited us to lunch." Stella said after a while.

"What do you mean," Noah asked.

"Don't you think she is behaving a bit sketchy. She didn't come to the office from the last 2 days and she wasn't properly talking with me. She called me last night and invited me to lunch out of nowhere." Stella sighed.

"It's ok maybe she was going through some hard times," Noah said assuringly.

"Hmm but I sometimes feel like that I have lost both of my friends," Stella said.

That caught my attention. Ella has been gone for nearly 3 weeks now. I miss her and I hope she comes back soon but still a part of me feels like that she won't return. I shake my head lightly. That's not possible, she can't leave like that. Noah looked at me through the rearview mirror. I ignored his look and looked outside of the window. We reached her house in about 10 minutes. We all walked towards the front door. She opened the door after a few knocks and we all went inside. Her house wasn't that big but it was giving homy and cosy vibes. She led us to the living room and we all settled down.

"Where is Logan?" Stella asked.

"Umm....he will j-join us soon." Olivia stammered. She smiled nervously at us and went away.

"See she is behaving a bit sketchy," Stella whispered. I also agree that she is behaving a bit weird. She has been working for me for a long time and she is a very confident woman. After sometime Olivia came back.

"So guys logan will join us in about 10 mins," Olivia said while giving us a small smile.

"Yeah, no problem," I said. We were talking when suddenly the door burst open and 6 men dressed in black entered. They have guns in their hands and walked towards us. We all abruptly stood up.

"I'm so sorry guys....but it was you or logan," Olivia said while moving backwards. I gave her a confused look when suddenly someone grabbed both of my arms and twist them behind my back and cuffed them. I struggled against it but stopped when the man pointed the g*n at me. I looked towards Noah and Stella but they were also caught.

"What do you mean by that Olivia!" Noah screamed at her.

"I'm so sorry. I have to save logan." Olivia said. What does that even mean? Save logan from who?

"Come on we don't have time for your bullshit." One of the men said and dragged us outside of the house. They pushed the three of us in the back seat of the van. Four men sat with us at the back while the other two sat at the front. They still had the g*n pointed at us.

"Who are you?" Stella asked angrily. They ignored her and continued driving.

"What do you want and where are you taking us?" I asked.

"You should know better than to befriend a mafia girl. Now you have to pay for what she did." One of the men from the front said. What does he mean? Olivia was from the mafia?

"Who are you talking about?" I asked confused.

"Ella Mathews." He said. What? Mafia? Ella is from the mafia. I looked towards Noah but he was as confused as me.

"You are trying to say that E-Ella Mathews belongs to the mafia," Stella stuttered. No, it cant be. She seems so nice.

"She didn't tell you.....interesting." He said. That's why she has the g*n at her house. That's why she was a trained fighter. That's what she was hiding. Now it all makes sense. Does that also mean that she killed her parents? No, no how can be that possible. She is not a killer.

She belongs to mafia dumbass my inner voice reminded me.

After some time the car stopped in the middle of a forest in front of a safe house. The men dragged us out of the car and into the safe house. The safe house was quite big. Its walls were painted with red and white colour. They took us downstairs and in there were some cells. The floors were very dirty. We walked towards one of the cells and they pushed us inside and tied us to a chair. I tried to get free but it was useless. Two of them went outside and brought a white bag. He opened it and pulled out three injections. They came near and tried to inject me but I start pulling at the ropes. Suddenly someone landed a punch at me. I groaned in pain but kicked him between his legs. Thankfully my legs weren't tied.

"Oh! You bastard." He screamed and fall down on his knees. I smirked at him but my happiness was short-lived when I felt a needle pressed in my neck. I wailed in pain.

"Aiden!" Noah called out to me but I couldn't focus as I was starting to feel dizzy. Soon darkness engulfed me.

Ella POV

I am currently shopping for some clothes. Daniel didn't let me go to my house saying that it's still dangerous for me to go there. So I and Liam are currently shopping for some clothes. I bought some T-shirts and jeans,2 pairs of sneakers and some undergarments. After that, we went to eat something because Liam was hungry, Although we had our breakfast 2 hours ago. We went to a restaurant and ordered our food. I just got a chocolate milkshake while Liam ordered 2 burgers and a cold drink. After some time our lunch arrived. I took a sip of my milkshake and nearly moaned in delight. After lunch, we went back to our car. Liam had paid for all of my stuff and although I am thankful, I still feel guilty. I don't like it when someone else pays for my expenses. I was pulled out of my thoughts from the sound of the phone ringing. Liam took out his phone and looked at the caller ID.

"It's Daniel," he told me and picked up the call.

"Hey what's up." He said on the phone.

"What do you mean by that. H-Hows it possible." He stammered.

"Ok, we are coming." He said and ended the call.

"What happened," I asked.

"We've got a problem." He said and looked at me with worriedly.
