*Aleric's POV*
All my life I have never been slapped before. Not that I didn’t deserve it anyway, because I know I do. When she walked into my office without knocking, I had thought she would go away soon and when I was certain she had cooled off, I would go to her to check and make sure she was okay, but it didn't look like she would go away anytime soon, to ease the tension I was feeling. I went to pour myself a drink but she just walked over and snatched the glass from me before I could taste the drink, and swallowed all its contents in one go. She tried to act like it was nothing but I could tell it burnt her throat. I know it was her first strong drink and she was trying to act all tough before me. This was not helping my nervousness, so I poured myself another drink and quickly gulp
