CHAPTER 3

"Don't worry he'll come for you, it's already too late maybe he'd coming tomorrow, it's not like the camp is relocating anytime soon," the boy tells Kelly. They start talking about random stuff, starting with introductions, she tells him her name is Kelly and he introduces himself as Jacob, the son of the Camp's groundskeeper. His school is not far away from Camp Logan, so he sometimes comes around to help his father do some work around the campgrounds. They both talked about their fathers, their constant trying to get the approval of their parents, ananda about, their goal dreams. Jacob doesn't talk much, he just listens to Kelly. She loves it because boys generally don't listen, they want to talk about themselves and football, or maybe baseball, all the time and it drives her crazy. "Earlier you said you don't know me so you won't let me kiss you, so does it mean if you know you'll let me kiss you, I think after an hour or more, you know me pretty well and I know you pretty well, so..." Jacob says as he slowly leans in for a kiss, she doesn't budge, their lips touch and adrenaline rushes to her brain and she can't contain herself anymore. Jacob kisses her and she kisses him back. The feeling between the two became stagnant as their lips elapsed for quite some minutes. In a few seconds, they are making out and reaping each other's clothes off each other's backs. Kelly's smooth skin shone in the darkness as it made Jacob glanced over her. They make love under the full moon, right on the pier as the wind blows the waters back and forth and the tides whistle, the breeze brushes their naked bodies as they consummate their love for each other. The moon throbs above them as they cuddle in each other's arms and fall asleep about an hour later the barefoot steps from a distance and a flashlight make shadows from the trees in the woods, they know it is the groundskeeper and Jacob has to run. "But it's your dad why are you running?" "If he sees me here with one of the camp kids, instead of at work, he would kill me, l have to go..." Jacob says in panic as he kisses her on the forehead and runs into the woods, where he is going exactly Kelly has no idea. The campgrounds keeper sees Kelly and asks what she's doing there, that he was looking for her and her Dad is waiting outside for her for the last half hour. Kelly jumped up to clean up and follow the Campground Keeper to see her dad. She follows her dad home, back to Dallas, Texas and the school year begins. She thinks about Jacob the whole school year and with no means of contacting him, she often feels depressed and lonely. She found it hard forgiving herself for not asking for his digit or means of contacting him before he dispersed that night. Often finding herself having lucid dreams about him, his lush blonde hair, his chest hair, he's such a hairy person. "Jacob has a lot of hair everywhere" she thought She thinks about his very visible Adam's apple that jumps up and down when he talks, especially when he gets excited. *** Four months after Camp Logan, the first semester of the new school year is almost over. Kelly's School's basketball team make it to the playoffs of the regional basketball tournament. Kelly is the head cheerleader for the basketball game. At one of the playoffs games Kelly passes out and is risen to the School's medical center, they run some tests on her and her and the school nurse finds out she is pregnant. Kelly's father is disappointed in their hand and, he then threatens to cut her off if she does not reveal who is responsible for her pregnancy. She tells him it's the groundskeeper's s at Camp Logan, her father takes her to Camp Logan to find Jacob, but they find out the groundskeeper does not work at Camp Logan anymore, they ask around and nobody knows anything about the weird little man who took care of the trees and flowers on the camp's ground. There was a new groundskeeper at Camp Logan, after failing to find the old groundskeeper or his supposed son Jacob, they give up and return to Dallas. Kelly is scared she might die or lose her womb if she tries to get an abortion so her father let her keep the baby, he took care of the child and allows him to take his surname, Carson. Kelly names the little boy Jake, after his father Jacob, even against her father's wish. Jake Carson grows up in his mother's and grandfather's house in Dallas, Texas. The first time Kelly began noticing something strange about her baby it was a full moon when he was four years old, the month was ending and the moon was throbbing outside, she bathed Jake getting him ready for bed and she saw so much hair in the bathtub, she dismissed it as just something he took from his father. Jacob was a very hairy person after all, and it's not like her family was made up of baldies either. She always had to rid the tub of hair every time she bathed him towards the end of the month, but not before that period. She became nervous and curious because she could not assume of what was going on. Her child is her blood and she must be responsible for his safety and also the environment safety as well. Kelly looks for an explanation for this at the pharmacist but medicines and pharmacist could not give her an explanation, so she forgets about it.
