Questioning the Parents

1042 Words
Layla returns to the house frustrated and a bit upset that she even entertained the idea of what Mathis had to say. Layla was not sure what to think was Mathis a crazy person or could what he thinks have some rationality behind it? Layla went into the dining area and sat at the table. Layla called her parents into the dining area and asked them to sit down. We have some talking to do Layla said her parents looked at each other. First off mom, dad where do we come from? What is our Ancestry? Layla’s parents looked at one another and gave a sigh. Sweetie there are a few things you need to understand said her mother. First off your father and I love you very very much but we wish you would let that question go. Why Layla asked, well you see we do not exactly have the answers for you. What do you mean by you do not exactly have the answers for me? Well you see we can track your ancestors back to a few hundred years ago but before then we have no idea. I see said Layla have you tried everything you can to figure out why you can not find anything after a few hundred years? Yes dear we have, it is like they just showed up here one day, maybe they came here illegally and that is why we can not find anything we have no idea. Well you know that I have always thought about going to collage or a trade school somewhere and in order to do that I need to know where I came from. We are aware that you need information on where you came from my dear, your father has been working really hard to try and find answers for you so that you have more information to give to the schools you want to apply for. So far all that we have uncovered is what we have told you, along with your birth certificate and social security number there is not much more that we can do for you. Layla sighed and said thank you to her parents she took her birth certificate and social card that her parents have kept in the safe until now. Her Parents told her that since she is now an adult it is time she had these so she can make her own appointments as well as use them for anything else she may need. Mom? Dad? Yes dear? You do not think that it is possible that maybe our ancestors had been here all along that there is just no known record of them past a few hundred years ago because they did not want to be known do you? We do not know dear anything is possible I suppose. Layla took her things and walked up to her bedroom to think. What if Mathis is right what if my family is descended from royal vampires and that is why there is no record of our family before 200 years ago. What is they had been here for a long time but not kept records because vampires would have no need for that kind of stuff hiding from the world and all. No that is ridiculous there is no way that vampires really do exist. If vampires really did exist there would have to be some sort of history about them. At the very least there would have to be stories of people with holes in their necks or elsewhere on their bodies and being drained of blood right? I do not know what to think anymore all I know is that my dreams have been out of hand. I want my dreams to go back to when I knew something was going to happen because I had a dream about it and it was like it really happened before it did. I want to be able to lay my head down and get a good nights rest. With that being said Layla for extremely tired and laid her head down to rest for a little bit. That night Layla dreamed that the mysterious man came to visit her in her room again. This time the man called her name Layla wake up Layla. I mean you no harm Layla the handsome man said, look at my eyes Layla. Layla looked up and into those glowing golden eyes of the stranger again, Layla your so beautiful said the man. I can not help but feel a pull towards you Layla I want to be with you Layla please Layla let me make you mine. The man gave Layla a small kiss on the lips then he again grabbed her face and turned it slightly to one side bearing her neck to his teeth. Please Layla just one bite one taste let me be yours. One bite to your beautiful neck and one bite to my neck that’s all it would take. Layla could feel the cold air around them as the man leaned in closer. I TOLD YOU STAY AWAY! NOW GET AWAY FROM HER! A voice said. Now a second pair of glowing Amber eyes was present and Mathis stepped into view. The man looked back at Layla where he was once standing then vanished. Mathis walked over to Layla asked if she was ok checked her neck and breast area for any puncture marks while apologizing about looking close to her breasts. I had to make sure that he did not bite you anywhere he said with a shy look on his face. It is ok Mathis thank you Layla said he grabbed her hand and gently kissed it then disappeared into the night. Layla opened her eyes unable to tell if what just happened was a dream or if it was real. Layla got up walked over to her balcony where her white drapes was moving, due to the doors being open and closed it. Layla then walked over to her closet got put clothes for bed took a shower and went back to sleep. This time Layla did not dream at all instead she tossed and turned all night feeling as though someone was watching her.
