Coming to Terms

Mathis was sad that Layla had sent him away however he understood that what he was saying sounded a bit crazy. If it had not been for him doing the research himself and trying to find answers he would have thought it was crazy to if someone else had said it to him. Mathis sent Layla a message he asked her when she is ready to please talk to him again. He said he will give her all the time that she needs to process what he said and decide what she thinks and how she feels, when she is ready she could message him. Layla received Mathis message she read it and responded back. Mathis I am not mad at you and I do not blame you for wanting to bring that up. At first I thought it was crazy and needed some time to think things over, I do not need anymore time we can talk about this if you want. I could never not talk to you for very long anyhow the feeling I have towards you pulls me to you. That is great Layla I am glad that you are not mad at me. I would be disappointed if I had to go for a while without talking to you but I would do it for you out of respect. I talked to my parents about our family history because I need that to apply for any collage or trade school I might decide I want to go to. My parents informed me that they could not find anything past a couple hundred years in our ancestors. So I thought that maybe it is possible that what you had said is not so far fetched. I can not really see myself as royal though and I do not know what that would really mean. As I thought about the possibilities and I was at my desk I drifted off and had another one of those dreams. This dream was different though it was as if I was awake right there in real time and not sleeping, kinda like how my dreams of the future used to be. Mathis stopped her and asked her was she about to be bit by another vampire who asked her to please choose them and then he showed up. Yes how did you know Layla asked. Because I also had that same dream. That can not be a coincidence that we dreamed of the same thing or maybe not maybe it was not a dream at all. That is not all though this morning after I had woken up I could have sworn that I could hear what my parents was thinking! At first I thought they was talking but when I asked them about it they said they did not say anything and I realized I was hearing their thoughts. So what I am saying that if you are right about what you said then it seems I am coming into more powers. Are you still in town I would like to meet up sometime today I told my parents that I did not feel well today so I do not have to attend school. My parents was fine with that as I have all the credits and good grades I need to graduate anyways. Sure Layla is there a way you can get out of your house? We could meet up at the ice cream shop a few blocks from the hotel I have been staying in. That would be great Layla said give me about an hour to get ready and get out the house to get there. Alright I will see you soon Layla oh and please be careful on your way here. Layla grabbed some clothes jumped into the shower dried her hair real fast left it in a wavy mess down her back jumped into the fresh clothes then snuck downstairs. Layla’s parents was no where in sight so she quickly opened the door and left the house. Upon Layla’s arrival to the ice cream store she saw Mathis and waved to him. Mathis got up from the booth he had grabbed for them and went to escort her to the booth. Layla and Mathis gave each other a hug and said it is so nice to see you again. Right after they said that and upon touching one another there was a gush of wind. Layla and Mathis had been pushed back into time. What is going on they asked each other. No they was not back in time they was in a time pocket. Layla seen someone who looked kinda like her the elegant lady stopped and looked at the two of them. She can see us they both said in unison. Yes I can see you she said the lady had glowing ember eyes, I see that you are not from this time this must be a time pocket flash to the past she said. That means that I do not have much time to talk to you. I can see you must be some relative of mine as you look a lot like me but you smell like a human. If this means what I think it means then you must be about 18 years old and coming into your powers. This also means that it must be about 200 years from my time when we went into hiding. You my dear are destined for great things you are the first vampire from our long line to come into your powers again after we went into hiding. You must be careful though there are other vampires who will seek you out and try to use you. You will be the most powerful royal vampire ever and you will rule over all vampires. Choose a mate to rule by your side that will share each others powers and that you can trust. I can see this young man from you comes from a old line of vampires as well and you two are pulled to each other. If you so choose then choose him I can see that he cares for you greatly and would be a good choice. One of your powers is being able to see back in the past and into the future use it wisely. I must go now do not be scared my sweet darling princess this was always your destiny. Stay safe and trust those who would protect you. Be weary of those you do not know with love good bye. Layla and Mathis was pulled back to the present where they quickly sat down in their booth. I feel dizzy Layla said I do as well Mathis replied. Let’s get some ice cream and process what just occurred. We can not deny now that what I thought was correct all along. Layla and Mathis reached for each others hands the sparks flew between their fingers. Layla scooted closer the Mathis and gave him a kiss on his cheek. Thank you for being with me and by my side, thank you for watching over me and protecting me I could not have asked for a better person then you by my side. Mathis thank you for figuring out what was going on looking into what was thought to be folklore and fiction and keeping an open mind about it. I now accept the fact that I am a vampire. A royal hidden vampire at that. I accept that I will be going though a lot of unexplained changes as I come into all my powers and I want you by my side.
