Chapter 3- Drunk Kiss

2168 Words
My feet were freezing cold being soaked under the icy cold water of the pool, as I sat thyself at the edge. Pouring some unidentified alcohol into the glass I took from his grasp earlier. He clarified his condition of leaving the place after I drank with him. For sure, this wouldn't take any long at all. He sat right next to me without a single word slipping out of his mouth. A soft, soundless chuckle was portrayed from his lips, he probably thought how gullible I am to actually sit and drink with a stranger. Indeed, our first encounter didn't went that well. "Don't laugh at me. I'm only doing this for my own sake." "Do you really think you will get fired for having me here?" his teeth shined like a diamond, as his eyes gleamed with his ever seductive dimple appearing on his stretched cheeks. " Do you even come across the word trespassing?" His face turned back to normal, emotionless and unpredictable. He absolutely had the most bipolar facial expression, at one time he laughed so genuinely, but then, for the last one second it turned back into a cold gaze. I don't know if I am only bringing myself into jeopardy by being with a kinda unstable person. "Beautiful and yet too stupid," he muttered in a quiet, low voice. "What did you say?" "Your beauty is such a feast for the eyes only that your attic's a little dusty." he pulled another cup from a secret cabin on the pool's floor, and poured himself some alcohol. "Is insulting people your nature?" I asked sarcastically as my eyes narrowed down on him. I was never insulted like he ever did all my life. I then filled my mouth with the alcohol I poured into my cup, down to my gullet. There it hit me hard, my head began spinning around as the movement of the world went with it. My vision starts to get blurry. "What's happening to me?" I asked myself as my body slanted down like a curved parabola. The water shattered when my body hit the extremity of my unconsciousness. My lungs were unable to cope with air for breathing. I tried to pull myself but I could not find any leverage. All I know is I am pulling myself all the way down. "f**k!" his voice was in extreme frustration and in rage. I then felt his arms encircling my waist pulling me out of the water, as I gasped out all the liquid filling my lungs. " You should have told me you have no tolerance for alcohol," he uttered annoyingly as he carried me towards the bench and had me sit down. But my brain was in a certain convulsion. I didn't know what to say, but I got confused about anything he said. It keeps spinning around. He kneeled in front of me trying to urge me for a serious conversation, but his face was stirred by my gyrating sight. As he confronted me, a familiar visage appeared in my bare eyes. The man who left me, the man I love the most in this world. Leo...my love "Leo," I uttered at a feather-weight tone. My heart was unable to hold the pain any longer and fell to the floor in a disheveled heap as the grief of my longing heart poured out in a flood of uncontrollable tears. I moved my hand to his cheeks, cupping it with gentleness. As the urge of my splintered heart's yearning, I leaned forward to him and pulled my lips upward. The satisfaction and the thirst lingering from my eyes made me weep a thousand times than I would ever have in a hundred century. "What-" before he was able to speak a single world, I linked the verge of our mouths. Maybe the time stopped when our lips sealed in a kiss, but the flutter only intensified. My heart pounded hard on my chest like it had never been before as my knees got weaker. My unsobered mind focused only on how soft he felt against my mouth, how addictively he invaded all my unconscious senses. It was still ambiguous if everything was a delusion, inside of the so-called dream. But there was raw emotion in the way his fingers buried firmly on my waist, pulling me closer to him in a tight grasp. I kept my eyes half-open, sneaking a guilty peek at him everytime I came back for air, just to make sure this wasn't a product of my imagination. and it wasn't. It is him and I'm sure. It felt weird somehow, like I was kissing another person's lips but I didn't let that thought interfered me. All I cared about was I am living the dream of my lifetime. Leo and I broke up a year ago, and it was the most terrible memory I have ever had. I caught him cheating, and dumped me right in front of hundreds of people. And yet, why do I still yearn for his love until now? I could never hate him or be just in a deep grievance with him. We were childhood sweethearts and all suddenly everything was ruined due to our relationship and up until now, I couldn't understand why he did that. I'm still trying to earn that reason but I couldn't find him. He left me forever leaving no tracks at all.I know we were young back then, but I know who I wanted, and whom I wanted to belong to. Guess what they said is true. " Falling for the wrong one could sometimes manipulate you on believing he's the one, until you realize it was only you who had been all along keep trying for that relationship to work". And all of the sudden that reality hit me hard to the bottom. I opened my eyes and found out it was truly just a delusion. I found myself in bed, in a great dazed. Sometimes, wishing it was ever real. But that kiss felt so real, the touch of his lips upon mine. I hopped from the bed and went to the kitchen. Aunt Merci was busy preparing breakfast, at some point I had thought of that it would be a good time to take a shower. But her next few words, froze me in place. "Silas brought you home last night." I stop from my track as soon as I've heard those words slipping out of her mouth. Who is Silas? I kept thinking. Then I remembered the guy sneaking on the VIP suite, we drank yesterday but what happened next? I could not remember a certain thing. I'm freaking out to know what actually happened yesterday, felt like I banged my head and got amnesia. "I'm warning you Amara, that guy is no good for you. He is dangerous." her words made me gulped for a second, It was way too cautious. As if she had known that guy for so long. "I get it Aunty, It won't happen again." I was pertaining to which of when I get drank and let a man carry me home, indeed it doesn't sound nice. Probably she had thought of that as well. After getting dressed from shower, I went back to the kitchen and ate breakfast. It was so quite the entire time and I know there was something off. She probably still been thinking about last night, I'm aware of her care towards me and she might have thought about that stereotype image of men in terms of alchol and their unsavory ideation towards women. Bless to those who don't. She really didn't let a single word slip from her mouth even when we sailed to the island. I tried to talk to her but she avoided me. I felt so bad making my aunt feeling upset to what I had done. But one more thing that greatly frustrates me, is the certain clarification of what truly happened last night. I will find that guy and clarify things with him, so I can ignore him forever and keep peace with my aunt. I crossed over the spiral bridge and proceed to the first suite I will be cleaning today. It looks so filty, seems like the previous guests weren't found of decluterring that much. The rooms looks so terrifying as of how filthy it is. I am slowly plodding through the room with furnace of disgusting smell, my feet were suddenly seeking in the abomination of cloths. It was too filthy for me to actually believe. Crumpled white-green tissues piling up beside old sick broken mirror, as the pockets of empty condoms were flooding the wine-stained carpet. And so with my finger getting ready to attack, I slowly picked up the filthy empty intercourse sachets that's been literally all over the place. Then throw the tissue paper to the bin "like getting basketball in a hoop". Then I stumbled throughout the room and roughly snatched the clothing from the ground and threw it in the laundry basket I brought in with me. The bed was the next thing I did, I therefore pulled the stained baggy blanket and neatly laid it on the bed again, then gently grabbed the pillows and placed it above the blanket on top of the bed. After all that terrifying work, I had one last task for World War Three to be over. It was the heaviest of all the tasks. To vacuum all the filthy rubbish and germs from the stained carpet. I also cleaned the stains. Gladly, I came out alive from that room. That was the first and the only task that was assigned to me today. I don't know why do I get such unfair treatment. I mean there's literally hundreds of bungalows to be decluttered why am I only getting this one worst room to be cleaned? I was walking back to the main hall supposedly to report my task, but before I was able to step one more foot further someone suddenly grabbed me at the corner. My eyes traveled to perceive who the person was all behind, and it was him, the guy named "Silas". "Why do you grab me so suddenly in a corner," I asked him with a crooked forehead. "Yesterday...." "What happened yesterday?" the gentle smile on his face disappeared and his eyes were giving me a cold gaze. "You don't know what happened yesterday?" the way he spoke made me shiver, it was freezing cold with a dead emotion. Made me quite think, something serious probably happened last night. "And one thing. Don't ever come show up at my aunt's door. That will be the first and the last time I will let you carry me home." his lips lifted in a smirk as his eyes narrowed down. As if he was in the midst of a hunting. He is the predator and I am his prey. "Are you sure you don't remember anything?" he pursued. I was trying to ignore it and walk away but then he suddenly grabbed my arm and pulled me closer to him. Making breaths one closer apart. "Then let me help you remember it." his hand held my back as his fingers buried deep in my skin, pressing our bodies together as he sealed our lips in one. His finger then traveled to my neck , and the hair as it was moved away nearly gave me some chills. That dream hit me back to reality, that kiss wasn't a dream. It was real, only that I unknowingly kissed the wrong person. His lips smashed against mine, as if trying to flatten and destroy my mouth. There was so much hunger in the way he kissed me. He tried to force my mouth open for his tongue to slip right into it, but I pushed him away from me and a hot palm was felt on his cheek. "Hah, I even got to get some slapped now. When it was you who kissed me first that day." he chuckled as he held his cheek burning in pain. "How dare you kiss me now?" my index fingers were pointing against him. "Why? Because I'm not the person you think I am when you kiss me?" he then left me dumbfounded. I ran away from that corner, my mind was shattered by thoughts and was not able to look upon my path. I stumble on someone's chest and didn't care to look up at it. I was two steps away when he called my name which made me stop and stunned. "Adira?" No one ever calls me that name, except for one person. I had thought it couldn't be and I'm only having a delusion right now, probably a sober effect to my unsobered mind. But when I looked up to find out who owns that voice, the pit of hell started to lit upon me. It's him... Leo `
