“What? What adventure?” I asked too quickly, enough to arouse suspicion.
He turned to look at me, eyes darting across my face. “Are you okay baby? You look flushed, your hair is different from when we left this morning. Are you sick?”
“No– no of course not, it's just been a long day and I’ve been running my hand through my hair all day” I managed a smile.
“Sure. If you need to take a week off to relax in any part of the world, I can make it happen.”
