Sergent Snider. I smiled as I watched Carly walk over the camp to see I was waiting for her. I wasn't going to go so easy on her this time. I had already given the kitchen staff her dietary needs whilst we were training. I had enjoyed our time together before we officially closed for the winter. I had gone back to the barracks for the winter. I had no former family to speak of; they all disowned me when I had decided to join the army. They thought it was to get loved and lost rather than not being loved at all. Their reasoning was pathetic. They decided I was dead to them before I even stepped out the door.
