Roxy held her breath as she tapped the screen of her phone to answer it. She put it on speaker so she did not need to repeat the conversation to Dee and Sephi. They would have her undying gratitude for supporting her through this, whatever this might be.
“Tell me everything you know,” Roxy said as soon as the call was connected.
“We found two of his group,” John sighed. “They are alive but seriously injured. Most of their injuries are traumatic from the blast and collapse, not burns. I want you to remember that as we keep looking for Reginald and the others.”
“Thank you, John,” Roxy murmured as Sephi and Dee held her hands.
“I wish I had better news for you. Of all the firefighters I know and command, Reginald is one I hoped the most would never be in this situation.”
