When their food arrived, Melanie started laughing. Darius had ordered both pizzas she had mentioned, every type of chicken offered, a double order of breadsticks, and large quantities of both desserts available. The kitchen counter was filled with enough food to feed everyone in her family and then some.
“Why did you order so much?” Melanie asked as Darius placed a slice from each pizza on a plate for her.
“Because I did not want you to be hungry. This way, we can snack on it during the night and even have it for breakfast if you like. Don't think I have missed how much you enjoy cold pizza for breakfast,” he told her as he gave her the plate, so she could add what else she wanted to it.
“That and I did inherit my father’s love for midnight snacks. This is all perfect for that,” Melani
