Sephi was up earlier than usual. She had not found anyone to cover Roxy’s shift but had assured her friend they would be fine without her for a day or more if needed. She was rolling her long hair into a bun as she walked into the kitchen and saw Dee at the stove making their breakfast. Sephi leaned against his back, wrapping her arms around his waist as she did. She sighed as she took in his ever-present scent of sandalwood and musk. “How are you feeling, my dear?” Dee asked as he held her arms with his free hand.
